Tuesday, September 1, 2026, was the Annual Members Dinner and Recognition. Dinner provided by Reedsburg Pizza Ranch. The guest speaker was Department Commander Renee Simpson. A presentation of a check in the amount $500 to the Sauk County Veterans Office (Tony Tyczynski) from the poppy drives. Service award was presented to Wayne Unrath for his outstanding volunteer service to the VFW. A presentation of a check in the amount of $500 to Ketchum's Got Your Six (Debra McCollum). And finally the night ended with a meat raffle and 4 Quilts of Valor were awarded to local Veterans.

Thank you to all who put this event on and came out to listen to our community’s reading of the Declaration of Independence. This was a great way for our community to come together and remember why after 250 years, we can still be the best Nation on Earth. While we may not be perfect, we can continue to strive to make our Nation a little better everyday.

On June 12th at the State Convention in Rothschild, State Commander Letto and Quartermaster General Garduno present the All-State Post Caps for the 2025-26 VFW year to Post Commander John Noga and Post Quartermaster Wayne Georgeson (not pictured).

A huge shoutout to the Leadership Team and Members of Post 1916, who spent many hours within our community assisting Veterans and serving our community. This was a great honor and accomplishment! We are looking forward to what the new VFW year will bring.
