A lot has happened in the last three weeks. Energized from the Assembly, the synod staff has jumped into moving! Moving of all things – furniture, office supplies, files, boxes of books, discovering things we haven't seen in 11 months, and moving into new office spaces. A lot has changed, and in the midst of that change, we remember, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."

This video will show you a glimpse of the construction progress. There are still things to finish, but we are seeing the finish line.

Thank you to individuals, congregations, and conferences for your generous contributions—your support is making a real difference. We are beyond grateful for the opportunity to steward this renovated building space that will serve our entire synod.

This summer 2026, Bishop Dee and the pastoral staff will be providing video sermons that can be used by congregations during worship.

The sermons will be on the 2nd lessons from Romans and can be used on any Sunday for the summer. The theme, Ground in Hope, comes from the 2026 Synod Assembly where we gathered, living out these powerful words from St. Paul’s letter to the early Christians in Rome. Ordination of Jeremy Haugen
"Let it be acclaimed that Jeremy Haugen is a called and ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament in the church of Christ."
This ordination celebration took place on Saturday June 20, 2026, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Flandreau, SD. Pr. Jeremy has been called to serve at Grace Lutheran Church in Lake Benton, MN. Please welcome Pr. Jeremy to the rostered ministry of the Southwestern Minnesota Synod. Halleluia!

Gathering for last weekend’s Synod Assembly, we lived out these powerful words from St. Paul’s letter to the early Christians in Rome. From prayerful worship to lively table conversations, joyful singing and generous sharing, serving one another and extending hospitality, all these fruits of the Spirit were present among Southwestern Minnesota Synod Assembly Voting Members.
