Meet Frankie: The Sweetest “World Class” Snuggler
•Breed: ¾ Japanese Chin, 1/8 Pekingese, 1/8 Shih Tzu
• DOB: 1/29/22 - 4 years old

🐾 The Personality
Meet Frankie, possibly one of the sweetest dogs we have had the pleasure of fostering. This easy-going sweetheart takes a bit to warm up, but once he does, you are his "bestie" forever. If you are looking for a gentle companion to share your home, Frankie is your guy!
Frankie’s favorite things include short car rides with you, chasing a rolling tennis ball, squeaky toys, his own yard, and—of course—TREATS!

🏡 The Ideal Home
Frankie would thrive in a forever home that offers:
• Someone home most of the time: He loves companionship and doesn’t want to be alone for long stretches.
• Furry Friends: While he may be ok as an only dog, we think he would prefer a home with the company of other small-to-medium-sized, mellow dogs. He even does well with dog-savvy cats!
• Patience & Care: Frankie has very good potty habits if someone is home to routinely let him outside.

💞 "World Class" Snuggler
Frankie takes a little while to warm up to new people, but once he is comfortable, he gives lots of kisses and snuggles. He has a crate but prefers the couch, and he happily sleeps in the big bed with his foster parents.
Please Note: Frankie has not been kid-tested, so we prefer an adult home for him or one with dog-savvy kids over 12.

• A securely fenced yard is required.
• Frankie does well on a leash but much prefers the freedom of running and exploring a safely fenced yard.

• Current on all vaccinations
⚠️ NOTE: We do NOT ship our dogs. Once an adopter is approved and chosen, they must be able to travel to the foster location to pick up Frankie in person.

Our 5 puppies all left for their new homes today, we met near the airport in Minneapolis and It was so much fun. Digby flew with his new mom Sarah to Maryland, Lily flew with one of her new moms back to Massachusetts, Trevor flew back with his dad to Pennsylvania where his new mom is anxiously waiting to greet him. Quinn flew home with his new mom and "grandma" to Michigan, and Chance is riding shotgun with his new mom Laurie back to Oklahoma! It was so exciting I forgot to take a group photo. Hopefully the new families post lots of pics or send to me so I can share. Here is just a short video of the excited puppies getting lots of love from their new parents!

As summer approaches we all get busy, so this is another reminder to mark your calendars to come to the Midwest Luv A Chin Rescue CHINFEST in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. It will be held Saturday, September 26th, with a dinner here the night before for the out-of-towners who arrive on Friday. If you are a dog lover, this is the place to be, and a chance to talk to lots of other dog loving people. We'll have a big buffet style lunch and promise you a fun day!!!

We had to say "Bon Voyage" to our blind little Pekingese FOREVER FOSTER Charley this morning. She was old, her heart was bad and then she developed some fluid but refused to eat and refused to take her meds which she always took so well. She was telling us it was time, and even though it was hard, her quality of life had taken a nosedive over the past 10 days. Our only wish now is that Charley is taking a detour to Paris for her dream vacation before she arrives for a welcoming celebration at the Rainbow Bridge.
