The Grand Finale: Midwest Chinfest 2026! 🐾

They say time flies when you’re having fun, but it also means we have to eventually admit we aren't quite as spry as we used to be!
After 16 wonderful years of hosting Chinfest out here at Joanne’s in Redwood Falls (we had one one quiet year during Covid), the time has come for us to pass the hosting torch. Saturday, September 26th, 2026, will officially be our final Chinfest in Redwood Falls.
While we are highly optimistic that another wonderful dog lover in the Midwest will step up to host in the years to come, we want this particular farewell tour to go out with a massive bang.
If there is any way you can make it, please come celebrate with us! We want a truly huge party, and that means we need you.

Happy GOTCHA Day to Frankie!!! He was a little timid at first with his new mom & dad Deb and Dave, but when he met his new Chin brother and sister and got to play in his new fenced yard he knew he was HOME!!! Congrats to all!

Our 5 puppies all left for their new homes today, we met near the airport in Minneapolis and It was so much fun. Digby flew with his new mom Sarah to Maryland, Lily flew with one of her new moms back to Massachusetts, Trevor flew back with his dad to Pennsylvania where his new mom is anxiously waiting to greet him. Quinn flew home with his new mom and "grandma" to Michigan, and Chance is riding shotgun with his new mom Laurie back to Oklahoma! It was so exciting I forgot to take a group photo. Hopefully the new families post lots of pics or send to me so I can share. Here is just a short video of the excited puppies getting lots of love from their new parents!

As summer approaches we all get busy, so this is another reminder to mark your calendars to come to the Midwest Luv A Chin Rescue CHINFEST in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. It will be held Saturday, September 26th, with a dinner here the night before for the out-of-towners who arrive on Friday. If you are a dog lover, this is the place to be, and a chance to talk to lots of other dog loving people. We'll have a big buffet style lunch and promise you a fun day!!!

We had to say "Bon Voyage" to our blind little Pekingese FOREVER FOSTER Charley this morning. She was old, her heart was bad and then she developed some fluid but refused to eat and refused to take her meds which she always took so well. She was telling us it was time, and even though it was hard, her quality of life had taken a nosedive over the past 10 days. Our only wish now is that Charley is taking a detour to Paris for her dream vacation before she arrives for a welcoming celebration at the Rainbow Bridge.
