YO friends and family and art lovers! My name is Beth Mostovoy and I am a photographer and very involved with the arts here.
Since it is almost my birthday on August 15th. I am hoping y'all will support a special place in my heart, the Center for Creativity in Redwood City, CA, that I have dedicated the last 15+ years of my life helping to start up and bring to life.
I am sure you also know the arts, like many other necessary and meaningful parts of life that we love and need, are struggling to survive. The Center for Creativity opened in May 2025. In a little over a year, we have had a huge impact in our community by bringing together artists, students, residents, civic leaders and local organizations to co-create a vibrant, creative and inclusive space that welcomes everyone. Our vision is a community where the arts spark belonging, collaboration and connection across all ages and backgrounds.
This is what I am proposing. We currently need both a lot of art supplies, as well as a variety of tools, equipment and supplies to run the Center, which is currently thriving in The Hotel Sequoia in downtown Redwood City. It is a lovely, historic building that is over 100 years old and needs a lot of TLC to keep it going. If you live anywhere near Redwood City, you must come visit soon. You will be thrilled!
We have a Wish List listed on an Amazon Registry. Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/2ZHZ4BJ559YFN
