Our webinar is just 5 days away! On December 10th, join us for an engaging conversation with Stephanie Olinger, PhD, our Technical Director, and Steve Zornetzer, PhD, as they dive into the Arctic Ice Project’s groundbreaking research, cutting-edge technology, and the critical issue of sea ice preservation.

It’s an excellent opportunity to learn from experts in the field and explore innovative solutions for a rapidly changing Arctic environment. Hope to see you next Tuesday at 4 PM Pacific.

This , gift the Arctic a future. The Arctic as we know it is facing unprecedented ice loss and warming, and as sea ice melts, our future goes along with it.

We’ve already seen the signs, and they aren’t pretty. The Arctic is an incredible and beautiful ecosystem. It’s also vitally important. It stabilizes our climate, regulates global temperatures, and reflects the sun’s heat. Without it, we lose a key defense against climate change.

Arctic Ice Project is driving innovation to slow ice melt to protect the Arctic and our planet at large. Let’s work together to protect what matters most – our plant and our future.

Help us meet our goal this Giving Tuesday. Make a donation today.

Arctic Ice Project has been recognized in a significant new initiative led by Ocean Visions—a first-of-its-kind digital road map aimed at identifying and advancing potential pathways to slow the loss of Arctic sea ice. The inclusion of AIP in this comprehensive assessment underscores our role as a key contributor in the global effort to combat one of the most urgent indicators of climate change: the accelerated melting of Arctic summer sea ice.

Our hearts are with the people and communities affected. In the shadow of Hurricane Helene, the southeastern US is now assessing the damage from Hurricane Milton, which made landfall as a Category 3 last night. With more than 230 lives lost from Helene, billions in damages, and an unknown toll as a result of Milton, our attention and concern is focused on our screens for updates.

As global temperatures continue to increase, the severity and frequency of natural disasters is projected to rise in tandem, underscoring the importance of acting now to prevent the worst of these rapidly intensifying global shifts.

Stay strong.

This week, we celebrate the magnificent oceans that cover over 70% of our planet. They are the lifeblood of Earth, producing more than half of the world's oxygen and serving as our planet’s primary climate regulator. However, our oceans are under siege from unprecedented challenges, including the alarming retreat of Arctic sea ice. This rapid melt not only jeopardizes unique polar ecosystems but also accelerates global sea level rise, posing a threat to coastal communities around the world.

Let's use this week as a reminder of how vital our oceans are and commit to protecting them. Together, we can ensure that our oceans continue to thrive for generations to come. 🌍💙

Today, on World Environment Day, we are reminded of the critical importance of protecting and preserving our environment. Our planet provides us with the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat. Yet, human activities continue to pose severe threats to these essential resources. From deforestation and pollution to climate change and loss of biodiversity, the environmental challenges we face are immense and require immediate action. By adopting sustainable practices, reducing waste, and advocating for policies that protect natural habitats, we can work together to safeguard our planet for future generations.

The health of our environment directly impacts our quality of life, economic stability, and overall well-being. Clean air and water, fertile soil, and a stable climate are all crucial for the prosperity of human societies. On this World Environment Day, let's pledge to be stewards of our planet, recognizing that our collective efforts today will shape the world we leave for tomorrow.
