We're excited to announce this year's ambassador for Soul Stroll! Cherie "Chillin' da Conscious Poet" Kabba is a creative strategist, cultural preservationist, and the founder and CEO of The Soultown Magazine — a platform she has built into a 20-state, 52-city distribution network over the past decade, designing all 115 issues herself.

A Chicago native rooted in spoken word and slam poetry, Chillin' holds an MBA and a Master's in Information Systems, and brings that same rigor to her art. Her work centers on celebrating Black stories and lifting underrepresented voices — not just as media, but as a tool for liberation and legacy.

In 2026, she launched The Soultown's 52 (TS52), a landmark series spotlighting the journeys of 52 Black and Brown women. An Adobe Lead Educator, Google Cloud Digital Leader, and nationally recognized poet, Chillin' lives by her own words: "If it has heart, purpose, and soul, it belongs in The Soultown."
