We’re excited to invite our community to the Center for Creativity’s Opening Reception this Friday, September 4, from 5–7 PM!

Come spend the evening exploring our NEW exhibitions and enjoy live music from Alex Valdivia Music + Maya Valdivia

✨ Featured Exhibitions ✨

🎭 Voices of Recovery: celebrating creativity, resilience, strength and hope within our recovery community.

🌅 Golden Hours: a beautiful exploration of the transitional magic of early autumn through abstract, realistic and contemporary works.

🛹 Skateboards - Decked Out: where street culture, fine art and contemporary iconography come together on skateboard decks.

🤫 Growing in the Silence: an evocative collection of masks exploring the inner landscapes we experience when the outside world falls quiet.

👁️ Unseen Realities/The Hidden Realm: an interactive installation inviting us to consider what exists just beyond what we can see.

And, of course, there will be art, conversation, community and refreshments! 🎉

This week at Make & Take, unleash your imagination in this playful, mixed‐media art session! We’ll start with a free‐flowing wet‐on‐wet watercolor technique, letting paints bleed and bloom naturally across the page. Once the paper dries, we’ll turn abstract splashes into unique artwork by hunting for hidden shapes ‐ animals, florals, or whimsical characters ‐ and bringing them to life with fine‐liner markers and detailed doodling. No prior painting experience needed!
