CoreTechs Cycling Team A race team that is competitive, but understands this our hobby, not our job! We are a close knit, strong group of Bay Area cyclists. Smile, and ride hard!

We have three teams that all ride under the CoreTechs banner. Our club team races in the blue kit and is made up of Cat 3's and 4's looking to upgrade, or a few cat 1/2's that dont want to race much any more but like being part of a team. Our TwT (team within team) is made up of our old guy cat 1/2 master racers. They race at least 20 times per year and always race as a team. You will see them in

a white kit. CoreTechs Elite is our Pro/Cat 1/2 team. Made up of strong local cat 1's and 2's, they race the P/1/2 field. They too are in a white kit. They just have less wrinkles than the TwT guys.

What happens when the NCNCA combines two age groups in the district crit championships? Well, Bob Hooks combines with Patrick Heaney for a two man team time trial. Winning the 55's and the 60's. Between the two of them, they have won the National Road Race, State Crit and Road as well as district road and now crit. Two man domination this year. Amazing!

What can't SuperBob (Bob Hooks) do? He wanted to make sure he could wear the Bear Jersey in all his races, so he won the State of California Road Race to go along with his Crit championship in the 55-59 AG. Well done! This time he had some teamwork to help by Phil Tercero

What a weekend! Today (Sunday, July 12th) was the first full State of California crit championship at Manhattan Beach. This combined both Southern California and NorCal to crown a true state champ. The winner in the 55-59 and the 2026/27 true full State of CA champ is our own, Bob Hooks! Amazing. Came down to a bunch sprint and Bob took the W to bring the championship to NorCal.

Presenting the 2026 Road Race (60-64) National Champion!! This is Patrick Heaney's 3rd RR Natty. He won as an Elite about 30+ years ago, then won as a Masters rider two years ago and now he wins again! He is a special rider and a legit winner! BTW, he soloed the final lap to win by 2+ minutes!

Our weekly posting. Today from Sand City 50+ 1/2/3...Another win for our dynamic duo. This time Bob Hooks takes the W. Between him at Patrick Heaney, they have about 70 wins so far this year (it's an estimated guess, but feels about right 😁).
