CoreTechs Cycling Team

A race team that is competitive, but understands this our hobby, not our job! We are a close knit, strong group of Bay Area cyclists. Smile, and ride hard!

We have three teams that all ride under the CoreTechs banner. Our club team races in the blue kit and is made up of Cat 3's and 4's looking to upgrade, or a few cat 1/2's that dont want to race much any more but like being part of a team. Our TwT (team within team) is made up of our old guy cat 1/2 master racers. They race at least 20 times per year and always race as a team. You will see them in

a white kit. CoreTechs Elite is our Pro/Cat 1/2 team. Made up of strong local cat 1's and 2's, they race the P/1/2 field. They too are in a white kit. They just have less wrinkles than the TwT guys.

Our weekly posting. Today from Sand City 50+ 1/2/3...Another win for our dynamic duo. This time Bob Hooks takes the W. Between him at Patrick Heaney, they have about 70 wins so far this year (it's an estimated guess, but feels about right 😁).

The CoreTechs team is working on our efficiency by only sending one rider to races. With our one man wrecking squad, Patrick Heaney wins the Dash for Cash 50+ and then for good measure takes the second podium spot in the 35+, oh, and why not, takes 5th in the P/1/2 race. What a day. What a stud!

Men on boxes...Results from today's Wi******er Circuit Race. Surprised? No. Impressed? Yeah! Patrick Heaney is a beast. Winning the 50+ 1/2/3 (btw he is 60). Congrats Super Patrick!

One of the best 50+ year old racers in NorCal (and the Nation!) and he is 60 this year. Congrats to Patrick Heaney for winning the 50+ Copperopolis CA Road Race. Sometimes called "The Hell of the Northern California". Well done Patrick! 👏

The CoreTechs Cycling Team sent four of our top racers to the Santa Cruz Crit today to race in the 50+ field. Working together they were able to protect Patrick Heaney's winning break. From there Patrick was able to take the W. Amazing racing and fun for the team to see results. Well done boyz! Snelling 2026 (maybe the last one? Thanks Velo Promo for all the years! ). Going on to a win in the 50's 1//2/3. Oh, you recognize Bob Hooks? Yep, 3 for 3 this year. Dude is on a roll! 4 man break with 2 laps to go. Then with 1.25 to go, Patrick goes solo and closes a 3 min gap to 45 seconds to take 5th. And, for good measure, Alex Komposch takes the field sprint for 6th. A good day for the CoreTechs Cycling Team. Thanks to all who raced for a great "opening" to the 2026 year.
