HRR Newsletter excerpt:
Friends,
We want you to know how grateful we are for your continued support of Harbor Rock Recovery. About six months ago, we were able to hire Brandy Griggs part-time, and she’s been a tremendous blessing to our work and community.
As many of you know, we are a niche faith-based nonprofit, and while we hope to pursue grant opportunities in the near future, we would truly appreciate your prayers for favor and provision in that process.
We are serving a broad spectrum of people with heavy life situations, too many to share now but allow me to give a glimpse of one specific situation.
~Single mom, with a 3 year old came to us from a dangerous living situation, she had been striving to stay sober, find work, care for her child and most recently learned of a diagnosis for her sweet kiddo, a chronic condition called Rett Syndrome, a rare and devastating neurodevelopmental disorder that impacts nearly every aspect of an individual’s life, including their ability to speak, walk, eat, and even breathe. Oh dear Lord Jesus!
This is bigger than what any of us could imagine but HRR is committed to helping this family discover safe, sober, faithful, and healthy rhythms to care for this life situation.
We believe God knows the way forward but we ask you to pray with us!
There are more stories, and we want to continue telling of what God is doing and can do, in and through Harbor Rock Recovery. We truly believe that when people, churches, and organizations see the value of this work they would partner with us in bringing hope and recovery to others.
At the moment, we are approximately $40,000 behind our anticipated funding needs. We are praying that local South Bay churches and individuals might consider supporting Harbor Rock Recovery through monthly giving or even a one-time gift. Every bit truly matters.
Your personal support has meant more than we can say.
It strengthens our confidence that God will continue to provide for this mission.
Friends, we KNOW this work is making a difference.
Just last week, a lifelong friend — someone who would describe himself as a seeker and not yet a believer — said to me:
“Tell me more about Harbor Rock Recovery. I keep hearing people say, ‘Dan’s doing this or that, and a few guys I've met told me ‘I'm in Harbor Rock’s Sober Living.’ it sounds like your organization is doing important work. Is it a legitimate nonprofit?”
I smiled, “Yes, Harbor Rock Recovery has been a registered 501(c)(3) since 2013.”
He responded, “I want to write you a check.”
He did. I thanked God and I sent him a thank-you card. Since then he’s expressed how excited he is to now feel connected to the work God's doing through Harbor Rock Recovery.
From the bottom of our hearts,
THANK YOU for your prayers, support and compassion.

Thank you for believing in this mission, praying for us, and walking with us.

P.S. THANK YOU to those who've already responded!
Your love, support and prayers are making a huge difference.
*** Last Sunday Pastor Daniel (CCPV) told the congregation as he prepared to preach part II from John 11, "Friends, we are in the middle of a miracle, that's about to happen..."
This is the life of believers on mission. THANK YOU again and again, May God bless you and keep you, as you walk out your faith with our God. Remember, you are in the middle of a miracle!
