🟢 U10 Girls: 5:30–7:00 PM
🔵 U12 Boys: 6:45–8:00 PM

Evaluations help us create fair and balanced teams so every player can enjoy a fun and competitive season.

Fall Season is almost here, and we can’t run it without you. AYSO 17 urgently needs Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Referees. Teams are forming right now, and every open spot means a kid who might not get to play. Volunteering is what makes AYSO possible. No experience needed. Region 17: If you are signed up for the AYSO Fall Season, mandatory player evaluations for 12U Boys on 8/13/26 at 6:45pm-8:00pm at Adams Middle School. 12U Girls on 8/11/26 6:30pm-8:00pm at Adams Middle School. Player evaluations are an important part of building balanced teams.

Teams are being formed, practice will be starting soon, and the season will start in a few weeks, which I am sure all your children are looking forward to. I am also sure that many of them are hoping to be on the team that is named the division champion at the end of the season. However, to do that, the team has to make it to the playoffs first.

For those of you with children the 10U, 12U and 14U, those teams need your help to get to the playoffs, as each team needs to earn 20 referee points to be eligible for them. A team can be the best in the division, but if they don’t get the referee points, they will not be eligible to participate in the playoffs and will not be able to become the season champion, so please become a referee to help your child reach for their goal.

We have numerous classes scheduled to help you get started, which you can sign up for on eTrainU (AYSOU).

Full day, in-person Regional Referee course:

Area 1D Supercamp on Sunday, August 23rd, at Wiseburn Middle School (5504 W 135th St, Hawthorne)

OR

The Regional Referee Online + In-Person Companion Course. You will need to sign up for the online course, complete all the modules about the Laws of the Game, which can be done at your pace, and pass the online test. Once that is completed, you can sign up for one of the following Region 17 field sessions at Adams Middle School:

Tuesday, September 8th, from 6-9pm

Tuesday, September 22nd, from 6-9pm

In addition, Region 7 (Westchester) has the following courses currently scheduled:

Sunday, August 30th, location TBD – Females Only

Wednesday, September 2nd, at Del Rey Church (Saran Dr, Los Angeles)

Sunday, September 13th at Del Rey Church (Saran Dr, Los Angeles) – Youth Only

Sunday, September 20th, location TBD – Females Only

And once you are trained, we have a great mentoring program you can sign up for, where an experienced referee will join you on the field and give tips and pointers to help you as you start your refereeing experience.

⚽ Fall season is almost here, North Redondo families!

Quick reminder: earrings need to come out before games and practice. No pierced jewelry is allowed, even taped over. It’s a safety rule, not a suggestion, so let’s take care of it now instead of on game day.

Last night, May 31, our AYSO Region 17 families enjoyed a fun-filled evening at BMO Stadium cheering on Angel City FC! The match didn't end the way we hoped, as Angel City FC fell 2-1 to the North Carolina Courage, but the experience of coming together as a soccer community made it a memorable night for everyone.

From seeing professional women's soccer up close to sharing the excitement with teammates, friends, and family, it was a great opportunity for our players to be inspired by the game they love.

Thank you to all the Region 17 families who joined us and helped make Family Night such a success. We look forward to creating more special memories together throughout the season!
