Through the PTA, teachers and students are provided with additional resources to support and enhance the school curriculum. The following enrichment programs are entirely funded by the PTA:
Art – Hands On Art education taught to all students throughout the year. Assemblies – Various speakers and performers are brought to the school. Reflections – A national PTA arts recognition program. All s
tudents are invited to participate. Field Trips – Students have the opportunity to attend 1-2 field trips during the school year. PTA pays for buses and entry fees. In addition, the PTA provides teacher grants to reimburse our teachers for out-of-pocket classroom expenses and curriculum based teaching materials, as well as one large grant for a project proposed by Jefferson Elementary School teachers. We also sponsor family social activities, such as Back to School Ice Cream Social, Fall Family Night, Spring Family Event, Mother/Son Laser Tag, Father/Daughter Dance, Parents Night Out, and Moms Night Out. There are many events scheduled throughout the year.
