The ACEC California Scholarship Foundation is offering up to $100,000 in scholarships for California college students pursuing careers in engineering and land surveying.

ACE Mentor L.A./O.C. invites students and mentors to a hands-on day of building, learning and exploring careers in architecture, construction and engineering.

✨Mentor Spotlight✨

Meet Yongkorng (Korng) Chheu, a Mechanical Engineer at Syska Hennessy Group with two years of experience on aviation and mission-critical projects, including work on the Burbank Airport and several data centers.

Korng began his career at Syska as a Mechanical Design Engineering intern and, as an Engineering Development Trainee, led a team of 10 fellow trainees to develop a pipe pressure-loss calculation app. He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach.

As an Innovations Coach at his firm, Korng is used to guiding others through the process of turning an idea into something real, and he brings that same coaching mindset to his work with ACE students. Driven by a strong commitment to sustainable engineering, he encourages students to think creatively and consider environmentally conscious solutions as they explore their own design challenges.

The ACE Mentor Golf Classic went back to the 80s this year, and our golfers came dressed to impress!

Our golfers brought their best looks to the course, and the costume contest competition was strong. Congratulations to our winners:
