Meet Hovan Taghdwirnian, a Project Engineer at Gilbane Building Company, where he supports project delivery through cost, schedule, and technical coordination.

Hovan has contributed to a range of impactful projects, including healthcare facilities, aviation infrastructure, and theatre and performing arts centers, bringing a well-rounded perspective to the field.

He earned his B.S. in Construction Management from California State University, Northridge, building a strong foundation for his work in the ACE industry.

With a focus on collaboration and problem-solving, Hovan is committed to helping projects run smoothly while continuing to grow within the industry and give back through mentorship.

Calling all future renewable energy leaders!

The American Solar Energy Society (ASES) is offering multiple scholarships to support students and young professionals in sustainable energy.

Don Aitken Memorial Scholarship – $500
Gene Clark Memorial Scholarship – $1,000 (graduate students)
Wenger Shugar Solar + Storage Scholarship – $3,000

Open to active ASES student members involved through internships or student chapters.

With a strong foundation in design and a passion for infrastructure that connects communities, Miho brings a thoughtful and people-centered perspective to the environments she helps shape. Students from across Los Angeles and Orange County came together for a high-energy day of hands-on building, teamwork, and collaboration. From start to finish, it was incredible to see their creativity and hard work come to life.

The playhouses built during the event will be donated to Habitat for Humanity, and the libraries created will support communities throughout LA/OC.

A day full of impact, learning, and giving back.

✨Mentor Spotlight✨

Meet Aubin Gastineau, RA, a Senior Associate and Architect whose passion for design has taken him across Europe, Asia, and North America. Originally from France, Aubin holds a master’s degree in architecture and urban planning from ENSAS and is a licensed architect in California.

His journey began with Gensler in 2016, working on hospitality projects, and he has since expanded his expertise to mixed-use, residential, cultural, and master plan design. Aubin focuses on creating spaces that foster connection and elevate the human experience. His global experience enables him to bring a unique and diverse cultural perspective into these environments.
