Local Manhattan Beach paddler Tim Ritter and Paul Hennessey, a well-known and well-respected member of the South Bay business community, brought the series to the South Bay sixteen years ago and while it’s always been a favorite with the locals, our races have become the premier events of the paddling world with Hennessey’s Taverns as title sponsor for the U.S. The South Bay paddleboard race seaso

n runs from April through September and offers several different races for various age groups and divisions – from novices to the elite, all are welcome to compete. Paddlers are a great community of people - fun, happy and enjoying the beauty of the beaches and the ocean.

Attention all Paddleboarders!
Big party at Mickey Finzz this Sunday, September 20th, from 2-6 pm. All of Hennessey's Paddleboard archives will be silent auctioned! Paddleboards, photos, posters and other great memories from the last 20 years of the US and World Championships will be available at auction. Posters will be sold for a set price at HT Grill in the Napa Room. The famous South Bay Band, the Bixby Dicks, will be playing all afternoon at Mickie Finzz. HT Grill and Mickie Finzz are both located on Catalina Avenue in the Riviera Village in Redondo Beach. Tell a friend - see you there!

Return to the Pier is TOMORROW, Monday, May 27th! Come out for this classic race that runs from the Hermosa Pier to the Manhattan Pier and back! On site registration only, opens at 7 am with the race beginning at 8 am. $25 donation - see everyone there!

Coming up on Monday, May 27th, is the Return to the Pier Race! Come join in this classic race that runs from the Hermosa Pier to the Manhattan Pier and back! For a change, this year we are running on MONDAY morning instead of Friday evening, so start your Memorial Day right by coming out to Hermosa! Signups are on the day of the race only, starting at 6:30 am in front of Hennessey's Hermosa. $25 donation requested. Hope to see you all there!
