🌞 Calling all incoming kindergarten families!

Starting kindergarten is a big adventure, and making a few familiar faces before the first day can make it even more exciting. Join us for our Kindergarten Playground Meetups this summer! 🎉

These casual gatherings are a great opportunity for incoming kindergartners to play, make new friends, and for families to connect before school begins.

As we look back on the 2025–2026 school year, one thing is clear: the Horace Mann community showed up in incredible ways.
Together, we:
🎨 Revived beloved art programs, including Artist in Residence for 5th grade and the Northwest Art Project for all students
🖌️ Reimagined Art Night, transforming our school into a vibrant celebration of student creativity
📚 Invested more than $13,000 directly into classrooms
🎉 Hosted 8+ community events that brought families together
🔬 Expanded enrichment opportunities through Math Club, Spelling Bee, Science Fair, cooking, music, and more
🌱 Awarded more than $4,000 in community grants, including funding for a new school garden fish tank
🍎 Supported our staff with appreciation efforts all year long
🏛️ Advocated for students and families by engaging with state legislators and sharing Washington State PTA Action Alerts
🙌 Powered it all with more than 100 volunteers contributing over 1,800 hours
Thank you for being part of a community that believes in our kids, supports our school, and invests in creating meaningful experiences every day.

We are still seeking volunteers to fill two key roles on next year’s board.

- VP of Fundraising supports our fall “Pass the Hat/Colt Corral Fund” direct giving campaign (August through October) with templates, timelines, and support already in place.
- VP of Events helps coordinate our school events and will assist in recruiting event chairs and small volunteer teams for each activity.

We’re excited to celebrate the incredible hard work, perseverance, and mathematical achievements of our students this year!

Whether your student solved challenge after challenge, excelled in competition, or represented Mann as part of a math team, this is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments together as a community.
