Among Jonas' current interests is utilizing investment to advance the United Nations principles of responsible investing, to which Nordic Equities is a signatory.

Nordic Equities is building toward the launch of a new dedicated fund, “Our world,” focusing on these questions. Jonas sees that while most people can agree that these are important and urgent questions, those with different perspectives - rich, poor, nation-state, the planet, tend to come up with very different answers. There is also the important dimension of the “time perspective.” Jonas challenges us to consider several perspectives while making meaningful investment decisions - a topic we will explore in our conversation with SACC-Seattle on Wednesday.

“Sisu” is a Finnish word that means strength and perseverance in the face of adversity.

We reopened yesterday after months and months of temporary closure—our friends at Ballard Blossom - Seattle Florist sent us this arrangement with a single word on the card: sisu. It’s been an incredibly difficult and emotional year for all of Seattle’s cultural organizations (truly for everyone worldwide), and we’re so grateful you helped us persevere through it all so we could reopen today.

Thank you, Ballard Blossom, and thank you to our incredible supporters far and wide.
