Over $10,000 in support — and we’re just getting started. 🩵

In just the first couple of months of 2025, MCRC has helped community members through food and gas cards — making sure basic needs like meals and transportation aren’t out of reach.

Need support? Call us to check eligibility. This resource is limited.

Gas shouldn’t be a barrier — but for many, it is. ⛽

Rising fuel prices make it hard for families to get to work, doctor’s appointments, or even the grocery store. For low-income households, every gallon counts.

“Faith is taking the first step even when you can’t see the whole staircase.” -Martin Luther King Jr.

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we remember the powerful words and incredible life of the civil rights leader. It is a day to honor the legacy of Dr. King by participating in service projects.

This year again, MAPS-MCRC took part in the MLK Day of Service to honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. by helping to provide resources to unhoused neighbors in South King County.

One of MAPS-MCRC's missions is to provide sustainable resources to those facing homelessness and poverty. This year, Sister Nickhath, and volunteers, handed warm food, and blankets to unhoused neighbors.

Throughout the year, MAPS-MCRC volunteers continue to offer support to the homeless community. They provided supplies like blankets, sleeping bags, hygiene supplies, toiletries, etc. They connect homeless individuals to available resources such as food pantries and healthcare providers; distributed information about different housing options; and provide emotional support.

By honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., MAPS-MCRC was again able to make a difference in the community and bring hope to those in need.

Update: With increasing cases of COVID and flu in our communities, and given the vulnerable demographics into which our seniors fall, MAPS-MCRC is postponing the December 5th Golden Times seniors event. A new date will be announced later.

Join us for our “Give Thanks- Let’s Share our Blessings Together” Thanksgiving Eve Dinner on Tuesday, November 22 from 5:30-8:30pm at MAPS! Register here: https://mapsredmond.org/event/give-thanks-lets-share-our-blessings-together/

This annual event is an opportunity for us to express our Thanks to all of our partners who have worked with us throughout the year. This is an opportunity to meet in-person to share a meal and gather with others who share your concern for those facing poverty and homelessness in our community.

During this year's event, MAPS-MCRC intends to increase awareness of the work of the Redmond Together Center and Essentials First. This will be an opportunity for communities to come together to learn about the work of these organizations and share in this work by raising funds to support their work.
