I am pleased to share an update on our ongoing commitments and progress at Buddha View Park, located between the Solu Khumbu and Okhaldhunga districts, near Pikey Peak, which stands at an elevation of 2,930 meters (approximately 10,000 feet).

We have commenced the foundational work, which is expected to be completed by the end of September. We are excited to announce a grand opening scheduled for October 28th, 29th, 30th, and 31st. This project promises to be a remarkable legacy that will benefit generations to come.

In addition to Buddha View Park, we are also developing a beautiful garden, hiking trails, eight public restrooms, and a museum to promote local tourism to Pikey Peak.

We are actively seeking additional funding to ensure the success of these projects, and your support would be greatly appreciated.

**Seven Summits for Women and Children!**

Every meaningful change begins with the heart. We believe in nurturing the ambitions of young girls, and we are confident that one day, their dreams will come true.

AC Sherpa began climbing at the age of 13. Today, after completing the Seven Summits in a record 42 days, he has built hydroelectric projects for his village, established schools and health centers, and created support systems across Solukhumbu, Chitwan, Sindupalchok, and Gorkha.

Celebrating Partima Sherpa: Heroes of the year 2023-2024!

On this special day, we extend our heartfelt birthday wishes to Partima Sherpa, a remarkable athlete and a shining beacon of inspiration. As a proud member of the 7 Summits Foundation, Partima has not only made history as the first female to win a golf championship in Nepal but has also set numerous records that underscore her exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.

Her achievements go beyond the golf course; Partima is the first Nepali woman to receive a scholarship to study and play golf in the United States, paving the way for future generations of female athletes. Her journey exemplifies resilience and determination, proving that with hard work and passion, dreams can indeed become a reality.

**Grand Success: Three-Day Event in Tapting Dudkhundha**

We are thrilled to report the incredible success of our recent three-day event held in Tapting Dudkhundha, which brought together the communities of Okhaldhunga and Solu Khumbu for a series of impactful activities.

1. **Volleyball Tournament**: The highlight of the event was a thrilling volleyball tournament featuring over 20 teams from Okhaldhunga and Solu Khumbu districts. The competition was fierce, showcasing the talent and sportsmanship of our local athletes, fostering community spirit and camaraderie among participants and spectators alike.

2. **Eye Camp**: Alongside the tournament, we organized a two-day eye camp that provided essential eye examinations to over 250 patients. The camp successfully facilitated the removal of cataracts for more than 35 individuals, significantly improving their quality of life and restoring their vision. This initiative underscored our commitment to health and well-being in the region.

3. **Support for Flood Victims**: In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity, we donated 1,250,000 rupees to the families of five women and children who tragically lost their lives in recent floods in Tapting and Gorahkani villages. Each family received 250,000 rupees, along with an additional education fund of 500,000 rupees to support the future of their surviving children. This initiative reflects our dedication to helping the most vulnerable members of our community during times of crisis.

4. **Closing Ceremony**: The event culminated in a vibrant closing ceremony featuring performances by renowned Nepali artists, including Prem Raja Mahat, Rose Muktan, and Bijay Lama. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Miss Tamang 2024, Riya Lama, as well as esteemed local leaders, including Mayor Mr. Namgyal Jangbu Sherpa and Deputy Mayor G Gandhi Maya Tamang from Solukhumbu District. Their participation added to the event's significance, celebrating community resilience and the power of unity.

In conclusion, the three-day event in Tapting Dudkhundha was not only a celebration of sports and health but also a profound demonstration of community support and compassion. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated, volunteered, and contributed to making this event a resounding success. Together, we are building a brighter future for our communities.

Dear Resilient Community of Nepal,

In the aftermath of the recent floods, our hearts go out to all who have been affected by this devastating natural disaster. We recognize the immense challenges you face, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this journey.

Humanitarian organizations, local leaders, and compassionate individuals worldwide stand in solidarity with you. Together, we are dedicated to providing the support and resources necessary to help you rebuild your lives and restore your communities. Your strength and resilience inspire us all.

Over the weekend, Nepal experienced some of the worst flash flooding in its history, resulting in over 200 lives lost in Kathmandu and the surrounding valleys. The heaviest monsoon rains in two decades fell on Friday and Saturday, submerging large areas of the city and washing away entire neighborhoods, bridges, and roads. The Bagmati River swelled more than two meters above safe levels.

By Monday afternoon, officials reported 204 bodies recovered, with at least 30 individuals still missing or stranded, and hundreds more injured. Many of the deceased were passengers on buses swept away by the floodwaters.

As we address immediate needs, we are also focused on long-term recovery efforts to prevent future disasters and enhance community resilience. We encourage you to seek assistance and support one another during this challenging time.

KATHMANDU, Sept 28 (Reuters) - Nepal is grappling with severe flooding and landslides that have resulted in at least 66 fatalities since early Friday. The relentless rains have disrupted domestic air travel and closed major roads, with officials warning that the death toll may rise as 69 people remain unaccounted for and 60 others have been injured, according to home ministry.

The Kathmandu valley, which houses approximately 4 million residents, has been particularly hard hit, with flooding paralyzing daily life and traffic. Rescue operations are underway, utilizing helicopters and rubber boats to reach individuals stranded on rooftops and higher ground. Some areas have recorded up to 322.2 mm (12.68 inches) of rainfall in a single day.

The heavy rainfall comes after a delayed retreat of the South Asian monsoon, leading to swollen rivers that have overflowed onto roads and bridges, further complicating rescue efforts and regional stability.
