A few years ago, TeamWinfrey quietly began reaching out to elementary school principals across different school districts with one simple question, how can we help?

There were students carrying lunch debt, and families doing everything they could just to make ends meet. So we stepped in. Thanks to the support of people who believe in this mission, we were able to help pay down student lunch balances, allowing schools and families to breathe a little easier.

This upcoming school year, we’re expanding that effort. Our goal is to partner with multiple elementary schools across several districts to help eliminate as much lunch debt as possible. This is deeply personal to us because we know that something as simple as a school lunch can make a difference in a child’s day. Every student deserves to sit with their classmates, enjoy a meal, and focus on learning.

Sometimes making a difference doesn’t require a grand gesture. Sometimes it starts with a conversation, a partnership, and a community that chooses to care. This is why we love the work that we do!

Thank you for believing in TeamWinfrey and for helping us continue this work. Whether I’m a paraprofessional or not, I’ll always find a way to be involved. Together, we’re making sure more kids walk into school with one less burden on their shoulders.
