Every year, our incredible WLEEA Advisors give countless hours of their time, energy, and passion to mentor, train, and inspire the next generation of leaders. Now, we have an opportunity to give back to the people who give so much!

A HUGE THANK YOU to Our EAA Team! 👏👏

A huge shoutout to our EAA’s (Explorer Academy Assistants) from Summer Academy! 🙌

Running a WLEEA Academy is no small feat, and we absolutely could not do it without the Explorers who volunteer their time to serve as EAA’s. They do so much behind the scenes to keep the Academy running smoothly that we couldn’t possibly list it all here!

From cooking, serving, and cleaning up every meal, to doing the Academy laundry, transferring guidons to the platoons during the first evening formation, keeping classrooms supplied, and running all those unexpected errands that pop up throughout the day—they are constantly on the move! 💪

And their workday doesn't end when everyone else heads to bed. They’re up all day working hard and often up late into the night keeping up with the laundry and everything else that needs to be done.

These Explorers give up their time, their sleep, and a whole lot of energy to make sure everyone else has a successful Academy experience.

So, let’s give them a HUGE ROUND OF APPLAUSE and an even BIGGER THANK YOU! 👏👏👏

EAA’s, we appreciate everything you do! The Academy simply wouldn’t be the same without you! ❤️💙

Washington, If you have a young person between 16 and 21 who could use some direction, confidence-building, leadership skills, and a positive challenge, encourage them to contact their local law enforcement agency and ask about joining their Explorer Post.

It’s more than just an opportunity—it’s a chance to grow, build lasting friendships, develop leadership skills, and get a firsthand look at a career in law enforcement.

From Academy—straight into the river! 🌊✨
As many of you know, Explorers from across the state just graduated from the WLEEA Summer Academy! After days filled with marching, rigorous physical training, and pushing through the heat, our King County Sheriff’s Office Police Explorers earned a well-deserved break.
To celebrate wrapping up a demanding academy, the team took a quick detour on the way home to jump into the river and cool off.
