Grateful for our wonderful partnership with Microsoft Teams during the Give campaign!

42 volunteers came together to donate 250+ books, sort 1,250 books, pack suitcases full of stories, and create beautiful, inspiring bookmarks.

It was a delight to partner with Camp Kindness Counts this Saturday morning. The team diligently sorted through books received as donations from Margaret Mead Elementary School's book fair. We packed 2 suitcases, sorted 470 books, and even made bookmarks.

Joy of Reading at the Microsoft Giving Campaign – Oct 22, 2024

We set up booths across Microsoft buildings B1, B2, and B3 as part of the Microsoft Giving Campaign. The idea was simple—have employees create bookmarks with inspiring messages for children. These bookmarks will be shared with kids along with donated books, adding a personal touch to their reading experience.

A big thank you to the 100+ employees who stopped by and the 80+ who took the time to make a bookmark! Your support means a lot and helps us bring the joy of reading to more children.

📚✨ Bringing the Joy of Reading to TGTWURJC (Girls), Zaheerabad!

We recently donated over 500 books to the TGTWURJC at Mogudampally, a junior college and school dedicated to empowering tribal students through quality education. The library, which lacked books and resources earlier, is now brimming with exciting stories, motivational reads, and language books in Hindi and Telugu.

The school was overjoyed to receive the books, and it’s heartwarming to see students exploring their new library with so much enthusiasm. From 5th graders loving their Level 1 books to the librarian’s efforts in setting up the space, it’s clear these books are already making a difference!

We kicked off 2025 with an incredible book-sorting event alongside "Kids Coming Together " group! A lively team of 24 kids and 12 teen leaders worked with care to sort books into GROW BY levels. Their energy and dedication resulted in 378 books sorted and two suitcases packed and ready to ship.

“📚✨ A Promise Fulfilled!

In November, the Joy of Reading team proudly donated 372 books to the government school in Medipally Kalan! The collection included brand-new books from Pratham and contributions from our community’s book drives.

It was heartwarming to see the village’s support, with the sarpanch and well-wishers joining the celebration. The excitement in the children’s eyes said it all—they promised to make the most of their new library!

Our team also trained the teachers on effective library practices, tracking library awards, and monitoring reading progress. Special thanks to the school headmaster, Sreekanth, for his incredible support. Together, we’re building a brighter future, one book at a time.
