Books of Joy empowers children in underserved communities to achieve their full potential through education. We partner with local communities to provide books, school supplies, scholarships, create educational programs and establish learning environments to promote literacy.

We are thrilled to partner with “FTC 18225 High Definition” high school robotics team from Bellevue, WA to bring the exciting world of robotics to youth in Nepal! They’re teaching FIRST LEGO League (FLL) robotics curriculum online for students interested in STEM, and have already successfully launched a robotics club at Holy Vision School in Kathmandu.

Calling all schools & educators in Nepal - Want to bring this incredible robotics program to your students? We are looking for more schools in Nepal to join this program.

Empowering the next generation! We partnered with student volunteers from KUSOM for Project Shikshartha, supporting 300+ students at Shukraraj Balbhadra Secondary School in Pokhara. From boosting creativity in the classroom to strengthening school infrastructure, this initiative has left a lasting impact of development and empowerment. Thanks to everyone who made this possible!

In many rural communities across Nepal, something as simple as teaching proper handwashing can be the bridge between a child staying in school or falling behind due to preventable illness. When a child is healthy, they have more energy to dive into their books, more days to play with friends, and a better chance to reach their full potential.
