Dear Grand Mesa Bowmen Members,

After careful consideration and many difficult conversations, the Grand Mesa Bowmen Board of Directors voted unanimously to cancel the 2026 Hay Press Shoot due to the extreme fire danger facing our area.
This decision was not made lightly. The Hay Press Shoot is much more than an archery event—it is a tradition that brings together friends, families, volunteers, and fellow archers who share a love for the outdoors and our club. We know many of you look forward to this weekend all year long, and we do as well.

Unfortunately, the current fire conditions present a level of risk that we simply cannot ignore. The safety of our members, volunteers, guests, neighboring property owners, and the surrounding public lands must come first.

Thank you for your understanding, your support, and your continued commitment to Grand Mesa Bowmen.

Stay safe, take care of one another, and we look forward to seeing you on the range soon.
