Redfield PTSA Meeting Minutes
Monday, November 24, 2025 at 5:15 p.m.
Redfield School Makerspace Room

Members present: Jordann Hansen, Amy Hermann, Carol Lambert, Trixie Schlechter, and Janell Shottenkirk.

We met in the in the Makerspace room beginning at 5:15 p.m.

Secretary minutes were not available. Treasurer report was given.

Old Business:
The teacher supper went well, there were a lot of leftovers, we think because tacos were hard for the teachers to take back and eat. The sandwich meat leftover from the football meals went over well. We will do something simpler to eat next year, maybe soup and sandwiches.

The book fair went well with over $5,000 in sales. This year we had books for grades K-8 rather than just K-5, the books for older students went well. Kelly used some of the Scholastic dollars to get books for the library. Teachers have or are in the process of ordering their Christmas books.

The playground equipment will be ordered soon. We have allocated $40,000 to the playground equipment. The city is donating $20,000 to the project, thank you! The turf is making us over budget. We discussed selling cookie dough in January. All funds raised will go towards the turf. Janell will get this set up with Collin.

The Christmas clothing apparel will be reopened from last year with a few changes. It will be a very short turnaround with orders due December 3rd. We will get it posted on the PTSA, elementary, middle school/high school pages and on the website.

Janell got the online banking setup so we will no longer be charged for bank statements.

The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 12th at 5:15 p.m. in the Makerspace Room.

Hi Everyone! PTSA will be providing a Taco Bar for the teachers during Parent-Teacher Conferences on Friday, November 6th. Please look at the sign up genius and see if there is something you are willing to donate for this meal. If you provide food items please have them in a disposable pan or bag. If you donate money please put it in an envelope marked PTSA-Donation and your name. You can leave your items in one of the secretaries' office or reach out to Carol Lambert. Thank you so much!

Redfield PTSA Meeting Minutes
Monday, September 15, 2025 at 5:15 p.m.
Redfield School Makerspace Room

Members present: Kaylin Ede, Felicia Ethridge, Jordann Hansen, Brianna Hekrdle, Amy Hermann, Sara Jones-Lutter, Makayla Jungwirth, Kristie Klapperich, Kelly Kraft, Carol Lambert, Karen Reed, Trixie Schlechter, Janell Shottenkirk, Briana Wager and Ashley Zens.

We met in the in the Makerspace room beginning at 5:15 p.m.

Secretary minutes were posted in August. Treasurer report: The playground equipment will be coming next summer so Janell will move that allocated money to a CD to earn interest in the meantime.

New Business:
If you have not gotten your PTSA memberships into the school, please do so. Dues are $10, payable to Redfield PTSA.

PTSA has the concession stand for the volleyball classic on Saturday, October 4th. We need parents/grandparents and teachers to sign up to work. This is a great fundraiser for us. The signup genius is ready. Amy will get posted.

The book fair will be held November 3-7. We will be doing a signup genius for volunteers to work. New this year, we can no longer order a book once the last book has been sold.

Jordann has the Redfield Food Center grocery receipts already going. Please save your receipts from September 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026. They can be dropped in the bins at the grocery store or in the elementary office.

The apparel order will be picked up tomorrow and will be available for pickup on Wednesday at the school.

A suggestion was made to also serve the teachers a lunch on school open house. We will do this next August.

Janell with visit with Felicia on even insurance that we share with post prom.

The question came up as to whether we would ever bring back the carnival. We need several volunteers to help before we can bring it back.

The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 20th at 5:15 p.m. in the Makerspace Room. We will need to discuss the teacher conferences meal and the yearbook, among other things.
