The Newsom Administration continues to reject our proposals on Telework, and Governor Newsom vetoed Assembly Bill 1729, which would have strengthened telework protections for state workers. 👎

But this is not just about Telework, it is about whether the State will bargain fairly over the proposals and priorities state workers brought to the table. ‼️

The State has a legal obligation to bargain fairly over Telework, and we must hold them accountable to that obligation by participating in next steps for a fair Contract. ⏭️

The Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) has moved our Unfair Practice Charge forward by issuing a complaint against the State. This means PERB determined there was enough in our allegations for the case to proceed.

Members are now voting on whether to authorize an Unfair Practice Strike if further action becomes necessary.

We’re asking you to take two important steps today:
1. Vote on the Unfair Practice Strike before October 7. Your vote helps determine whether our union will authorize a strike: search.seiu1000.org/strikevote.php
