ROAD CLOSURE: Route 107 is blocked off between the intersection with Route 58 and the edge of the Park, due to a downed tree and power line. Visitors can use the lower lot below the Visitor Center off Route 58...but let's be realistic, it's probably smarter to stay home! 🌩️

We contributed a few artifacts to this fantastic exhibition - go see it if you haven't already! It's really worth the trip.

This Saturday, August 15, will be our first “Family Saturday,”sponsored by Robinson+Cole!

Come and explore our new “Connecticut’s Revolution” exhibit between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free!

Highlights include Connecticut’s copy of the Declaration of Independence, a rare regimental flag, a uniform, a cannon, and much more. In fact, visitors will enjoy exploring the more than 100 artifacts on display in this special exhibit.

A big thank you to Robinson+Cole for their support of the exhibit.

Escape the heat & celebrate Independence Day with a visit to our recently renovated diorama room at the Museum! The Park Historian will be there until 5 pm to answer questions about the exhibit design & all the new research we conducted to make it come alive.

The exhibit now includes an interactive/touchable element for tactile learners: a recreation of Sgt. Maj. John Hawkins' knapsack, based on his diary entries.

Did we mention that both buildings are air conditioned, & the historic loop is open to cars? (Pedestrians still have right of way, so drive slowly!)

This new exhibit was made possible in part through America 250 | CT Museum Makeover, a program of Conservation ConneCTion and the America 250 | CT state commission, administered by CT Humanities (CTH).
