SUBJECT: City Road Closure – Park Marina Drive

WHEN: February 7, 2025 through TBD

CONTACT: Josh Anthony at City of Redding Engineering Division
(530) 225-4175 or [email protected]

During these traffic closures, the Bureau of Reclamation will be releasing increased amounts of water from Keswick Dam which have the potential to flood the lower elevated areas of Park Marina Drive and the surrounding businesses. MEDIA RELEASE
Public Urged to Continually Be Aware of Flooding Potential

Rain is forecasted to continue to impact Shasta County over the next few days. As the public travels around our area, they are urged to be aware of roads that may be affected by running or standing water. Officials with County Roads are working continuously to assess roads throughout the county.
Flooding can occur quickly in various areas depending on when and where rain is falling and the volume of the precipitation. If you happen to come across standing or flowing water across a roadway do not attempt to cross the road, instead find an alternate route. It is NEVER safe to drive or walk into flood waters.
The public is also encouraged to avoid the areas of creeks and rivers during storms as heavy rains can cause water to rise quickly and without warning.
At this time, Boyle Road remains closed due to storm damage.

You can also download the Genasys Protect App from your phone’s app store by searching for “Genasys Protect”. In the app you can search for and save zones for your home, work, etc.
