The fellowship runs for 10 months and combines in-person experiences, virtual learning, mentorship, and hands-on organizing. Participants can expect:

• An Opening Retreat in the Bay Area, November 19-22, 2026
• Monthly virtual sessions focused on community organizing skills
• One-on-one mentorship exclusively from Native organizers and mentors
• A Mid-Year Retreat in Sacramento, including a Lobby Day, in February 2027
• Wellness, healing, relationship-building, and community woven throughout the program
• The opportunity to work together and design real campaigns for their communities
• A Closing Retreat and celebration in July 2027
• Relationships with Native youth, organizers, mentors, and community members from across California that we will continue well beyond the fellowship.

All program-related expenses are covered for youth selected into CORE, so cost should not be a barrier to participating. CORE is specifically designed for and funded to serve American Indian and Alaska Native youth ages 18–25 who live in California.

📚 LIFE Center After School Program Is Back!

Hello LIFE Families & Community Partners!

Beginning August 24, LIFE Center will once again welcome students Monday–Friday for homework help, tutoring, cultural and enrichment activities, leadership and life skills, healthy snacks, and a safe, culturally supportive place to learn and connect.

🕑 Program Hours: 2:00–5:30 PM
🚗 Final Parent/Guardian Pick-Up: No later than 6:00 PM
🚌 Limited school transportation may be available with prior approval

Before attending, every student must:
• Be enrolled with LIFE Center
• Have a completed After School Program application/permission form
• Review and understand LIFE Center’s Code of Conduct, disciplinary expectations, and safety rules

Need transportation?
Families must complete the Transportation Authorization form and receive approval from LIFE Center before school transportation is confirmed. Once approved, parents/guardians must also notify their student’s school that LIFE Center will be providing transportation.

Students receiving transportation must be at their designated pickup location on time and follow all vehicle safety rules, staff directions, and LIFE Center’s Code of Conduct.

Parents/guardians remain responsible for afternoon pickup from LIFE Center. Families must also provide two reliable alternate authorized pickup contacts with current contact information.
