October brings increased attention to breast cancer awareness, but at LIVED2TELL, we want our community to remember something important:

All cancer awareness matters.

Breast cancer.
Colorectal cancer.
Prostate cancer.
And the many other cancers affecting individuals and families every day.

Knowing what is normal for your body matters.

Paying attention to changes matters.

Talking with your healthcare provider matters.

Following recommended screening guidance matters.

Some warning signs can include changes in the breast or ni**le, blood in or on the stool, changes in bowel habits, difficulty urinating, changes in urine flow, or persistent unexplained pain. Some cancers may also develop without noticeable symptoms.

These symptoms can have causes other than cancer, so the goal is not fear.

The goal is awareness and action.

If something feels unusual, do not ignore it.

Talk with your healthcare provider.

Ask questions.

Get screened when recommended.

And encourage someone you love to do the same.

After facing breast cancer three times, Cheryl transformed her personal experience into a purpose that continues today: helping individuals and families know they do not have to face cancer alone.

What began with Cheryl personally serving others grew into LIVED2TELL, a grassroots nonprofit committed to providing encouragement, patient navigation support, resource connections, and practical assistance, one person, one family, and one journey at a time.
