* Attention Members * 2nd day of wood duck house clean out has been postponed due to heavy snowfall. We will update new time and date in the future. Day 1 was successful. Members cleaned and refurbished nearly 100 houses. Reports are very good from the new style houses donated from Delta Waterfowl. Mounting them was much easier than old style wood houses. Hatch report has been talked about and we are trying to make optimal decisions to maximize our location selection for future houses.
Thank You to all members that have kept this tradition going over the years.

Wood duck house clean out scheduled for Saturday, February 18 meeting at 8 AM at the old city dump near pottery pond. We will be using Hay-creek crossing headed to the pull over where we will base our plans and supplies. We are happy to be working with Delta Waterfowl this year. They have donated 15 new wood duck houses. We are excited to try the new style and see what kind of results we get from them. If any members have a specific tree or spot on the property that they would like one put up please let board members know. We would like everybody to have an opportunity to choose a productive spot. Thank you to our members for making this possible year after year.

Another successful Pre-Fall Workbee was completed on Saturday August 13, 2022 (plus numerous prep days in advance). We managed to weedwhip the picnic shelter area, haul materials up, make some repairs to control structures caused by flooding, repair the retaining wall along the cart, backfill washouts with crushed rock, and begin the slow water control process in preparation for September migrations. Much of these annual activities have been supported by the same volunteers for decades, yes decades, in addition to many others throughout the years. Take a look at some other old pictures from around 1988. You’ll see some friendly faces. Thanks again to all the members for continued support of the organization.

Oh, and if you hadn’t noticed a gigantic old maple tree fell over the Pull Over entrance a couple weeks back. That too had been addressed by hard working members, allowing both boat and water to again get in, and out, of the “Old Cannon”. It was NOT an easy task.

Thanks!

**Attention Members** As of 3/15/2022) ATV access from 4 season sports is closed. Due to soft ground conditions and damage being caused on the access. We would like to thank 4 season sports for their continued support of the red wing wildlife league we are committed to maintaining the relationships that are needed to maintain and access our property. With limited access to the property it is very important to maintain relationships needed to continue our goals within the property. The damage will be repaired by volunteer efforts and are continuing to improve access and relationships with partners of the League.

Several members took advantage of the beautiful weather this weekend and performed an annual Woodduck House Cleaning. Its always a little bit of an effort traversing The Bottoms with all the snow, but they make it work and had a great day.

Thanks!

Attn Members:

Red Wing Rotary Club will be hosting the Annual Jim Ferguson Memorial Kids Fishing Tournament on Saturday February, 26th at 1pm on Pottery Pond.

They need volunteers to assist Saturday AM by drilling and clearing 150 holes for the kids to use. If you are available and and have access to a power auger, please consider assisting Saturday AM. Every bit will help the Rotary Club prepare for the Tournament, but more importantly, your assistance will give all the kids easy opportunity to get out and spend a day on the ice! Something everybody needs.

Please contact Chris Wi******er with any questions.

Thanks,
