Kenzi Reuter presented information about Hope and Harbor to Women’s Network. Not only does Hope and Harbor provide overnight shelter during the winter months, but this year they added Next Step, a daytime program. This day program is available to anyone in the community that needs help or a warm place to shelter from the cold and/or grab a hot lunch and is located in the basement of Christ Episcopal Church. Clothing, food and counselors are available to assist with rental leases, job applications, budgeting and other life activities.
In addition, Hope & Harbor administers The Community Care Fund (CCF) which is designed to provide short-term, one-time financial assistance to individuals and families facing a temporary crisis. CCF exists to help remove immediate barriers and stabilize people so they can take the next step toward long-term security and independence.
Kenzi also talked about her career journey and her dreams for the future of Hope & Harbor.
And to top off a great day, a delicious salad bar lunch from Pic Nicks was enjoyed by all!Thank you Kenzi for sharing this great information!
