Saturday was a great day for our first-ever Hunters Trap Conservation Shoot! Congratulations to the prize winners on each team and the winner of the "grand" door prize print! We received some great feedback and hope to grow the event next year. Thank you to the teams who registered and came out to support conservation.

Only a couple of days left to get signed up for the Hunters Trap Shoot on October 3rd.

We have had some questions from people who don't have a full team of 5. You are welcome to have a smaller team; we will still give you the same number of shells, birds, and prizes! (for example, a team of 3 would still get 10 boxes of shells and 250 birds, we would just divide them up)

Just a few days left to get a team together for the conservation shoot. Everyone in attendance has a shot at winning the grand door prize, "Snow Pheasants". Once you register a team, we will reach out to schedule your shoot time. We have 1 morning time slot and afternoon times available. Registration includes: 50 shells, 50 clays, lunch, and the chance to win some prizes!

Hunters Trap is a great warm-up for the upcoming season.

The Goodhue chapter's September meeting will be held this Wed, 9/23 at 6:00 pm.
Location: White Pines Sportsman's Club- we will meet in the basement area (indoor archery range).
We will be finalizing the upcoming Conservation Shoot.

Hunters trap is a great way to warm up for the upcoming season, it isn't trap. You stand closer to the house, the stations are different, and there are white clays (hens) you don't shoot! We have some prizes to award each team, and everything is included (shells, birds, and lunch). Round up your friends and get a team together. Each team gets a dedicated one hour time-slot providing a nice relaxed atmosphere!

Hunters trap is a shooting game designed to simulate shot angles you would encounter in the field. Unlike regular trap, you stand at stations closer to the trap house; you do not pre-mount your gun, and you are given birds 1 or two at a time. For fun we are throwing in some white clays (hens- don't shoot those) and a golden bird for each team that if broken will win a prize!

Don't worry, we will go over all of this before your team shoots! It looks to be a great day. We are limited to 8 teams, get your team together and register before the event is full.
