Tonight's presentation by Wayne titled "The Great Migration" highlighted the shorter migrations from the tops to bottoms of mountains to the longest migrations spanning continents. And the unexpected: those pesky snowbirds with different license plates. You never leave a Toastmasters meeting without learning something new! Our club meets virtually Tuesday nights from 7 to 8. Low in resolution, high in quality: Happy Halloween from the Hiawatha Valley Toastmasters! Tonight's meeting was canceled due to low attendance, but Al and Kelly could not depart before showcasing their spooky costumes.

Red Wing's Toastmasters club meets Tuesday evenings from 7 to 8 virtually at https://rwtm.me/zoom + on the second Tuesday of the month we infiltrate Red Wing Ignite downtown. November's in-person meeting may be cancled due to elections. Stay tuned for more info.

At our meeting on Tuesday night, Brian Hinton presented his DTM Capstone Project. As the District 6 2021-2022 Club Coach Chair, Brian worked with dozens of clubs assigning mentors and recruiting membership

Our club has welcomed a handful of new members in the past few months, including Brian Billing of Essential Chiropractic in Red Wing. In the evening on August 23 Dr. Billing will be giving this same presentation about how stress takes a toll on the body at his office on Tyler Road South.

In his speech Tuesday night at Red Wing Ignite, Beau entertained us all with stories of past sports blunders. Our Toastmaster Wayne, greeting Beau in the below picture, used a baseball theme to guide our Table Topics, as well.

It's easy to improve your communication skills with Toastmasters when the Hiawatha Club meets every Tuesday night from 7 to 8pm. After taking a break for the holiday, our next meeting on July 12 will be in-person at Red Wing Ignite. Guests are always welcome!

With a meeting theme of reminiscing, we put on our rose-tinted glasses and spoke of our favorite VINTAGE items, the Word of the Day. In tonight's presentation, titled "They Don't Make Things Like They Used To," Wayne introduced us to party lines and the evolution of cell phones.
