Meet Captain Iver Crow Eagle III

We are honored to welcome Captain Iver Crow Eagle III to the Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety. Captain Crow Eagle joins us with a distinguished record of leadership and dedication to tribal communities.

A proud member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, Captain Crow Eagle is the son of the late Iver Crow Eagle Jr and his mother is Claudette Crow Eagle (née Red Feather). His service to country begin in the United States Army, where he completed two combat tours in Iraq as a mechanized infantry soldier (11b).

Since 2006 Captain Crow Eagle has served in nearly every capacity within the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Police Department, including sergeant, acting chief of police, and captain. His experience in tribal law enforcement, combined with his unwavering commitment to justice, makes him an invaluable addition to our department.

As a devoted, father and husband, Captain Crow Eagle brings a personal sense of responsibility and care to his role qualities that align with the mission and values of the Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety.

Having just completed his first week, Captain Crow Eagle has already made a strong impression, we are honored to welcome Captain Crow Eagle to the OSTDPS family.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Captain Iver Crow Eagle III as he begins this new chapter of service with the Oglala Lakota Oyate.
