North Ellis County Outreach

North Ellis County Outreach NECO is a faith-based, Christ-centered social service ministry that assists families living in ROISD/FISD service areas with food, clothing, and utilities.

North Ellis County is a local not for profit agency that assists families in our area with emergency assistance for food, housing, clothing and utilities. NECO also sponsors a back to school program and Christmas toy program. Prescription assistance and home repairs are also provided for qualified families. Applicants must apply in person during posted hours and qualify based on income and family

size. Former clients must participate in education classes to continue to receive services through our agency.

What does it mean to give local?

For NECO, it means helping a senior put food in the pantry. It means helping a family facing an unexpected crisis keep an essential utility connected. It means providing clothing and household necessities when finances are stretched thin. And sometimes, it simply means making sure a neighbor knows there is somewhere to turn when they need a little help.

North Ellis County Outreach serves our neighbors across the Red Oak ISD and Ferris ISD communities with food, clothing, and financial assistance. Each person and family we serve has a different story, but they have one thing in common—they are part of our community.

That's why North Texas Giving Day matters to NECO. When you choose to give locally, your generosity goes to work right here, helping us care for the people who live alongside us.

🇺🇸 Labor Day Weekend Hours 🇺🇸

In observance of Labor Day, NECO’s Client Services and NECO’s Pennies from Heaven Thrift Store will be closed Saturday, September 5 through Monday, September 7.

We hope our Team Members, volunteers, guests, and neighbors enjoy a safe and restful Labor Day weekend!

We’ll be ready to serve you again when we reopen. Thank you for supporting NECO and helping us take care of our neighbors! 💙

We hope you’re staying cool during the summer months! ☀️ In this heat wave, we’ve seen an increase in utility bills and overall need for assistance in our community. We’re doing all we can to assist, but we need your help! 💪

Would you consider getting one of the following items for our pantry this week? You can also order a grocery delivery via Amazon or local grocery store — just have it delivered Monday-Friday between the hours of 9-4!

**Please note that while we are so grateful for any donation, we cannot always accommodate large or family sized items. Many of our clients are living by themselves or cannot carry heavy items.**
