Twenty six years ago, Trent had a vision.
What if serving your neighbor was simple?
What if the barriers that kept people from volunteering could be removed?
What if ordinary people could come together to make an extraordinary difference in someone’s life?
And through prayer, faith, compassion, and a community willing to serve, Servants was born.
What started through international mission trips grew into disaster recovery work, and eventually into helping neighbors right here at home through critical home repairs and accessibility modifications.
Over the last 26 years, the mission has continued to evolve, but the heart behind it has never changed: serving people with compassion, dignity, and love.
Today, hundreds of volunteers across York, Lancaster, and Adams Counties are helping neighbors stay safe in the homes they love through:
• Wheelchair ramps
• Safer bathrooms
• Flooring and trip hazard repairs
• Grab bars and accessibility modifications
• Critical home safety repairs
What began as a simple vision has become a movement of churches, businesses, volunteers, donors, and community partners all working together to bring hope to neighbors who need it most.
Because when service becomes simple, people show up.
And for 26 years, this community has continued showing up again and again.
To every volunteer, supporter, church, staff member, and neighbor who has been part of the journey — thank you.
You are the reason thousands of lives have been impacted over the last 26 years.
Here’s to the next chapter of preserving homes and providing hope.
