We have been made aware of an unsolicited letter being sent to Medicare beneficiaries advertising a Medicare Annual Wellness Visit from home.
The letter directs the recipient to call a phone number or scan a QR code to complete the visit. If you receive a letter like this, do NOT scan the QR code or use the contact information provided in the letter. QR codes from unverified sources can direct you to fraudulent websites or put your personal information and device security at risk.
We're sharing examples of the letter so you know what to watch for.
If you receive unexpected communication claiming to be from Medicare and aren't sure it's legitimate, contact Pennsylvania Senior Medicare Patrol at (877)808-2468 to verify it before providing any information or taking action.
Please share this warning. The more people who recognize scams like this, the harder it becomes for scammers to succeed

There’s a lot happening at Golden Connections Community Center this fall, and we want YOU to be part of it!

First up is our 5th Annual Open House & Health/Wellness Fair on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Come explore GCCC, try sample classes, meet our members, and connect with local health and wellness resources. Raffles, 50/50, and food will also be available. Everyone is welcome!

Next, join us for our Beginner/Improver Line Dance Workshop on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with Jean Carter. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to brush up on your skills, come dance, laugh, and have some fun! Pre-registration is $20 and space is limited. Register at www.gcccenter.com or call 717-244-7229 ext. 106.

Finally, mark your calendar for our Makers Market on Saturday, October 17, 2026! We’re currently looking for food, craft, and demonstration vendors for indoor and outdoor spaces. The Golden Connections Community Center is excited to announce our Makers Market on Saturday, October 17, 2026!

We are looking for food, craft, and demonstration vendors to fill our indoor and outdoor spaces. Vendor spaces are $35 without electric, $50 with electric, and $20 for outdoor spaces.

All proceeds will support programs and services for senior citizens in our community.
