Every year, Red Hook 8th graders get the amazing opportunity to visit Washington D.C. to immerse themselves in the history, culture, and political landscape of our capital city. This year, RHEF was able to help fund the cost of the trip for students in need of financial help.

We heard rave reviews about the trip from the teachers and students, who got the chance to visit the National Archives celebrating the 250 year anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the Natural History Museum, the Holocaust Museum, the Capitol Building, and the 9/11 Pentagon Memorial, among other iconic D.C. spots. A big thank you to all the RHEF supporters who make this possible — the adventures, memories, and learnings from this trip will stay with the students for years to come.
