We're hosting an artists' reception for David Lovekin & Rick Houchin at the Hotel Garber from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, May 23rd. If you're in town for the Red Cloud High School Alumni Association banquet and related events, this would be a perfect opportunity to scope out the public spaces in the Hotel and take a piece of art home with you (they're available for purchase at the National Willa Cather Center bookstore).

We would like to make this a regular feature. Open to anyone and we have a broad definition of what it means to be creative. Welders, knitters, stylists...even sandwich artists if you're willing to bring food. You can also just sit and observe.

Calling all creatives! Come hangout with Nebraska State Poet Jewel Rodgers on Wednesday, April 15th at the National Willa Cather Center's Red Cloud Opera House!

This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own original piece of art and will be given up to 5 minutes to perform!

We're proud to organize this event alongside the Cather Center! And yes, Jewel is the daughter of Husker legend Johnny Rodgers.
