🚗🧽 Help Support the Red Bluff Aktion Club! 🧽🚗

The Red Bluff Aktion Club is hosting a Car Wash Fundraiser on Wednesday, June 25th from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at 250 Antelope Blvd.

Bring your vehicle by for a sparkling clean wash and support a great cause! All donations are welcome, and every dollar raised will help fund the Aktion Club's community service projects that make a positive impact throughout our community.

REMINDER: DEADLINE IS THIS FRIDAY, JUNE 19!

📣🌲 Kiwanis Camp Application Deadline Extended! 🌲📣

Good news! We've extended the deadline for Kiwanis Camp camper applications to Friday, June 19.

🏕️ Camper Applications
We still have openings for 10 more campers and would love to give more local youth the opportunity to attend this amazing camp experience—completely free of charge!

Eligible campers must be entering 5th, 6th, or 7th grade and reside within the Red Bluff Union High School District or Los Molinos Union School District.

📅 New Application Deadline: Friday, June 19

If you know a student who would enjoy an unforgettable week of camp, please share this post and encourage their parents to submit an application!

Together, let's make sure every camper spot is filled and another great year of Kiwanis Camp is a success! 💙🔥🌲

Thank you to Jeff and Brenda Nelson for sharing their inspiring program on First Responder Therapy Dogs at last week's Kiwanis meeting! 🐾💕

Jeff and Brenda introduced us to their incredible team of mini Australian Shepherds—Blitz, Rookie, and Coach—who serve as both PTSD Service Dogs and Therapy Dogs. We learned about the important differences between emotional support animals, therapy dogs, and service dogs, and the extensive training required for these special roles.

With a combined 65 years of experience in education, Jeff and Brenda have dedicated themselves to supporting others through the healing power of their dogs. Their canine partners provide comfort and assistance during critical incident debriefings, support healthcare staff at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital, help schools following traumatic events, visit fire camps, and work with veterans throughout the community.

We were inspired to learn how these dogs continue their training each week to maintain the skills needed to serve those facing difficult circumstances. Thank you, Jeff and Brenda, for the important work you do and for sharing your passion with our club!

Thank you to fellow Kiwanian and Superintendent Todd Brose for an informative update at last week's meeting on the Career Technical Education Facilities Program (CTEFP) and the exciting opportunities ahead for Red Bluff Union High School District students.

Todd shared that Red Bluff High School currently offers 20 Career Technical Education (CTE) courses and that the district is pursuing Proposition 2 funding for two new construction projects:

🚑 A new 4,500-square-foot Emergency Services building

🏥 A new 3,000+ square-foot Health and Occupational Therapeutic Services building

These facilities would provide expanded opportunities for students while supporting the growth of these valuable programs. Todd also highlighted plans to explore adding a new Criminal Justice pathway under the Emergency Services program.

We're excited to hear that the district received scores high enough to move forward with submitting applications between June and December 2026. Thank you, Todd, for keeping our club informed and for your continued commitment to creating opportunities for local students and strengthening career education in our community!
