We wrapped up Adulting Sucks Round 2 with a little salsa and a lot of joy! A big thank you to Sara Feliciano for teaching the class and helping us celebrate through dance. To our students, thank you for the energy, laughter, and willingness to try something new that you brought to every session; including the dance floor. We’re so proud of you and grateful for the time we shared! 💃❤️

Just days before our historic book fair, neighbors were still busy building confidence and knowledge in our financial literacy course!!

The second round of our Adulting Sucks financial literacy class was full of learning, laughs, and new experiences. Our participants battled head-to-head for a handsome prize, thanks to NHS Greater Berks !

And to finish things off, we invited our dear friend Sara to help us celebrate the graduation with some salsa dancing 💃🏽

A photography exhibition underneath a bridge? Only in the Barrio 📸✨

The OJOS exhibition brought us together beneath the Penn Street Bridge for an evening full of community, local art, an inspiring sunset, and the kind of vibes that remind us why we love Reading ❤️

At Barrio, we believe in creating spaces where people of all ages can come out, have fun, and be themselves. Spaces where we laugh together, connect with our neighbors, share our stories, and show up for one another.

Community is about being present, supporting each other, and creating moments that remind us we’re all part of something bigger than ourselves.

OJOS was one of those moments. And we’re just getting started… 👀⭐️

Our OJOS photography exhibition under Penn Street bridge was beautiful. Not because of the lighting, or even the reimagining of the space... but because our neighbors showed us what can happen when love, positivity, and creativity comes first.

A huge thank you to Keeb Photography and Illuminate lens studio for their incredible instruction in this year's courses. Thank you to Reading Area Community College for working with us to use the space. Thank you Timmillion Harper for your wonderful musicianship. Thank you to our volunteers who always focus on what is possible, not what isn't. And thank you to our photographers for capturing the faces of Reading in their work.

Reading, we love you.
