These photos come from Pereira, Colombia, where our board member Danilo Arango is spending 10 days back in his hometown, helping us understand where we can make a difference following the recent earthquakes.
He’s visiting temporary housing shelters and communities that were struggling long before the quakes—listening to families and identifying urgent needs that aren’t receiving enough attention or support to recover.
We’re looking at projects across water, sanitation, and hygiene, while staying open to other pressing needs Danilo finds along the way. Having someone there who knows the area and cares deeply about its people means a great deal to us.
Our first project has already been installed at a temporary shelter for families among those hardest hit. We’ll share more about that soon. Thank you to everyone helping make this work possible.
