Women2Women

Women2Women Women2Women is Greater Reading Chamber Alliance’s catalyst for developing women leaders. Women2Women is Greater Reading’s premier resource for women.

The organization was launched by the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce & Industry in 2011. Women2Women offers a forum for women to create connections, gain knowledge, and build strategic alliances to foster their personal potential and career advancement. Joining the network is open to all who support women. Imagine what we can accomplish when we work together. Today, women make 85 percent of pu

rchasing decisions in all households, and 70 percent of new businesses are started by women. Plus, during the next decade, women will control two-third of consumer wealth in the U.S. and be the beneficiaries of the largest transference of wealth in our country’s history. Connecting and networking with each other will allow us to harness our power and impact Greater Reading.

This morning, we were proud to see so many incredible Women2Women members at the ribbon cutting for Finanta Credit Union’s new location on Penn Street, Reading. Moments like these are a powerful reminder of the impact women have when they show up for each other and for our community. 💜

A special nod to those present at the occasion: PA State Sen. Judy Schwank, recently featured in the Women2Women magazine; PA State Rep. Johanny Cepeda-Freytiz, who continues to pour into others through opportunities like our De Mujer a Mujer event tomorrow evening; Michelle Leguisamon, Finanta and Women2Women Research & Development Committee member; Laurie Grube, Tompkins Community Bank and Women2Women Council member; and Ericka Ruelas, Finanta and Women2Women Council member.

Here’s to women supporting women—and building stronger communities together. ✨

If you could share a meal and a meaningful conversation with a woman from history, who would you choose, and why?

Trailblazer, change-maker or quiet force behind big moments, her story still matters today.

Last CALL to save your seat! ➡️ https://monkeylink.co/bf59f9

Finding your voice is one thing — using it with confidence is another. De Mujer a Mujer is thrilled to welcome PA State Rep. Johanny Cepeda-Freytiz, a dynamic leader, downtown Reading business owner and local success story, for an empowering conversation about speaking up, standing firm and owning your seat at the table.

Women2Women was proud to support The Village Summit, a powerful professional development conference designed for working mothers who are committed to thriving in both their careers and families. This inspiring day created space for honest conversations that embraced the realities of motherhood in all its forms: the good, the challenging and everything in between.

Led by the incredible Lily Otu, the event was thoughtfully organized with a clear purpose to build a supportive community where professional mothers feel seen, heard and empowered. Throughout the day, women came together to share experiences, gain insights and support one another in navigating the complexities of balancing professional ambitions with family life.

Women2Women was honored to support this meaningful initiative and its mission to empower working mothers.

💜 Connecting, sharing and empowering the next generation 💜

Earlier this week, Berks Women2Women had the opportunity to attend the Alvernia University Women’s History Month Community Resource Fair, where we connected with students and shared how they can get involved in our program. It was a great chance to bring Women2Women into a public space and build a strong, more supportive community for women.

We were proud to be alongside incredible community partners and leaders, including Junior League of Reading; Laura Biancone, The LGBT Center of Greater Reading; Arielle Phillips-Law, Alvernia University; Dr. Cattima Cirksey, Alvernia University; Ashley Moyer, SafeBerks.

In 2011, a new idea was forming within the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA). While there was a lot of talent in the area, it was realized that the region lacked a dedicated support system for women in Berks County.

It was that realization that led Karen Marsdale, then Senior VP of the GRCA, to create Berks Women2Women (W2W). 15 years later, W2W continues to be a premier organization for the empowerment of women in Berks County.

While physical symptoms of menopause get all the attention, it is important to also discuss the mental symptoms that can come as a result of these hormonal changes.

Symptoms like depression, anxiety, brain fog and mood swings are all normal, and more common than you'd think. It is important to normalize the conversations surrounding these psychological symptoms and reduce the stigmas they carry.

Conflict. It is something nobody enjoys dealing with, but it will inevitably happen at some point. So, the question becomes how to manage it when it does.
