A big thank you to everyone who made the Upper Mill Creek Cleanup a success! 54 volunteers took to land and canoe at Mill Creek near Evendale Commons to remove trash and care for local habitat. In addition to cleanup, volunteers planted trees and plant colonies in the surrounding area to support local wildlife and expand pollinator habitat. Evendale Commons is looking refreshed and ready to flourish throughout the coming seasons.

Today is World Habitat Day! From wetlands and woodlands to streams, every habitat plays a role in making our watershed a place where people and wildlife can thrive. Here’s to protecting the places we all call home.

It's World Animal Day, and we're celebrating wildlife across the watershed, from up in the sky to those deep in the stream. As we work to make our watershed a better place for both humans, and non-human animals, every wildlife sighting is a win worth celebrating. Happy World Animal Day!

Last month, we joined board emeritus Stan Hedeen at Twin Creek Preserve for a fall migration bird walk—and what a beautiful way to experience the watershed. 🍂🐦

Places like Twin Creek Preserve provide important habitat for birds and wildlife right here in our communities. Want to help protect and restore places like this? Support Mill Creek Alliance and help keep our watershed flowing forward. 🌿

This week we're saying goodbye to our Restoration Assistant, Maggie Shears. Over the last year, Maggie has been an integral part of Workparty planning and management, helping to connect community members with restoration throughout the watershed.

We're sad to see her go, but excited to see what she does next! Thank you Maggie - we can't wait to see what the future holds!
