Girls on the Run Berks We are a local council of Girls on the Run International, serving girls grades 3rd - 8th, throughout Berks County, Pennsylvania.

Girls on the Run® is a life-changing, experiential learning program for girls aged eight to thirteen years old. The program creatively integrates running into a 10-week curriculum that includes lessons on self-esteem, peer pressure, working as part of a team and giving back to the community. The program culminates in a 5K running event. The goals of GOTR are to encourage positive emotional, social

, mental, spiritual, and physical development. Girls on the Run empowers girls to believe in themselves, to live a fit and healthy lifestyle, to make wise decisions, to avoid at-risk activities, and to give back to the community. There are two different age-appropriate curriculums:
Girls on the Run is designed for girls in 3rd through 5th grades. Heart & Sole is designed for girls in 6th through 8th grades. To learn even more, please check out www.gotrberks.org

As you enjoy a well-deserved break, we're already looking forward to an exciting Girls on the Run season ahead! 💗

📅 Lottery registration for eligible schools opens June 22
📅 General registration opens July 1
📅 The Fall 2026 season begins the week of September 7

We can't wait to welcome new and returning participants for another season of building confidence, creating connections, and discovering what makes each girl strong.

We spent the season celebrating HER. On May 16, she crossed the finish line. 💙

One of our largest 5K to date brought together 518 Girls on the Run participants, 421 5K Buddies, 78 Community Runners, and a community of supporters cheering every step of the way.

From the start line to the finish line, the day was filled with confidence, courage, connection, and joy; the very qualities our girls have been building all season long.

Thank you to our coaches, volunteers, families, sponsors, and supporters for helping make this celebration possible. A special thank you to Penn State Berks for hosting our event on their beautiful campus!

Our hearts are full after celebrating every joyful step, high five, smile and finish-line moment with this incredible community. From participants and coaches to families, volunteers and supporters, thank you for making this day so special.
