Class of 1974
Dean Randall Moser, of Belton, MO, entered the world on March 27th,1956 in Reading, PA as a remarkable 11-pound baby, and from that point on, never stopped making an impression on the world around him. He left us unexpectedly in the early hours of April 25th, 2026, and while his absence leaves an irreparable hole in our hearts, his legacy lives on.
Dean loved to explore, and he was always up for an “excursion!” He could be found on any given Saturday gardening, napping, watching his grandkids play sports, or taking care of his pool. His lawn chair was well-loved, and he would never turn down a Reese’s peanut butter cup. He always said he never met a dessert table he didn’t like. He made many lasting connections working at Cracker Barrel and volunteering with his church.
We will miss the man who kept us updated about all the malls, highways, architecture styles, weather events, and newest Buc-ee’s locations. We will miss the friend who was always willing to host a pool party or volunteer to keep the neighborhood fed at a Harvester’s food drop or by filling our food pantry. We will miss the grandfather who was always present for school concerts, grandfriends day, school pick-up, trips to the store for Pokemon cards and beyblades, lunches out, rides to practice, and walks up and down the block beside a grandkid on a scooter or bike. His answer to any question concerning being there for his grandkids was always, “I can do that.” We will miss the dad who was always proud of his girls and would brag about them and his sons-in-law any chance he got. And we will miss the husband who always made his wife feel loved, beautiful, and like she was the center of his world; she will especially remember and miss his patience and kindness through every season of sickness and health.
He leaves behind his loving bride of nearly 47 years, Joy Moser, two daughters, Amy Wolff (Mark) and Kelly Wilson (Jay), and three beloved grandchildren, Quinn, Everleigh, and Philippa Wilson. He is also survived by his five siblings Deborah Pauley, Dan Moser (Heidi), Delores Reese (Dave), David Moser (Laura), and Doug Moser (Carol). He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Daniel and Donna Moser; and brother-in-law Dave Pauley.
A celebration of his life will take place on Sunday, May 3rd at 11am at the Belton New Horizons Church of the Nazarene (17200 Chestnut Dr. Belton, MO 64012) with Dean’s favorite meal to follow. Visitation will be between 10:15am and 10:45am. Dean was passionate about the local church – In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Dean’s memory to the ministries of the Belton New Horizons Church of the Nazarene.
