Brian J. Jennings, 61, of Pottstown, PA, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2026 at Hershey Medical Center. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Ewald J. and Elizabeth (Wyida) Jennings.

He graduated from Exeter High School, class of 1982, and from Reading Area Community College in 2012 with his Associates Degree in Computer Technology. He worked at Prime Therapeutics as a computer programmer. Brian was a devoted sport enthusiast, and through that passion he made lifelong friendships. He loved attending games and could often be found cheering (or jeering) the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers and Phillies. Despite his local pride, his favorite team was the L.A. Rams.

Brian is survived by his two brothers, Allan V. Jennings, husband of Beth J., and Craig C. Jennings, and his three nephews, Matthew Jennings, Steven Jennings, and Zachary Jennings.

A visitation with family and friends will be held from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, August 3, 2026 at Lutz Funeral Home Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Ave., Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be private. Lutz Funeral Home Inc., has been entrusted with arrangements.

William Dennis Arner ("Dennis") August 20, 1951 – August 8, 2026

William Dennis Arner, known to everyone simply as Dennis, passed away on August 8, 2026, just shy of his 75th birthday. Born on August 20, 1951, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Dennis brought energy, joy, and a spirit of adventure to every room he entered.

A successful and dedicated realtor, Dennis built a career helping others find their place in the world. Outside of work, he was always the life of the party and embraced life in the fast lane. He had a passion for cars—with a special fondness for Porsches—and loved the freedom of the open road. Whether setting sail on open waters for a cruise, relaxing during trips to Ocean City, Maryland, or traveling to destinations around the globe, he cherished every journey. Beyond his career and hobbies, Dennis possessed a gentle heart and a deep, lifelong devotion to animals, caring for creatures great and small.

He is survived by his beloved children, William James Arner and Julie Marlo Arner, who will continue to carry his vibrant, adventurous spirit in their hearts.

In accordance with his wishes, services will be held privately. To honor Dennis’s lifelong love for animals, donations in his memory to your choice of animal rescue or welfare organization would be greatly appreciated.

Cathy L. (Moyer) Hafer, 59, of Shillington, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading, Cathy was the beloved daughter of Ralph Moyer Jr. and Charlotte (Rigg) Moyer of Exeter. She was a proud graduate of Exeter High School, Class of 1984, and spent many years working in sales for several companies, most recently at Babies "R" Us, where her warm personality and caring nature made lasting connections with both coworkers and customers.

Above all else, Cathy cherished her family. Nothing in the world brought her greater joy than being "Mimi" to her grandchildren. She adored each of them and delighted in spoiling them every chance she could. Her love for her family was unconditional, and the memories she created with them will be treasured forever.

Cathy had one of the kindest hearts imaginable. She was the type of person who would give the shirt off her back to someone in need, expecting nothing in return. She had the biggest, most beautiful smile that could brighten any room and the silliest sense of humor. She had a remarkable way of finding light, even in life's most difficult moments, and knew just how to make everyone laugh. Whether she was dressing up with the kids for Halloween, letting her granddaughters cover her in makeup, or simply filling a room with laughter, Cathy had a special gift for making her family feel deeply loved. Her greatest gift wasn't simply making people laugh-it was making the people she loved feel loved. Her gentle spirit, generosity, and unwavering love touched countless lives and left the world a little brighter simply because she was in it.

Cathy was an avid animal lover whose home and heart were always shared with her beloved pets. She leaves behind her faithful dogs, Hydra, Bronson, and Angus, and her cherished cats, Neegan and MoMo, all of whom she loved dearly. Cathy also loved the beach, where she found happiness and peace, and enjoyed tending her vegetable garden. While her vegetables flourished, she would jokingly admit that flowers never seemed to survive under her care-a little truth that always brought a smile to those who knew and loved her.

Cathy is survived by her loving companion, Jeremy Shumard; her parents, Ralph Moyer Jr. and Charlotte Moyer; her children, Sara B. Hafer, companion of Joe Pianka, Benjamin A. Hafer, companion of Angela Sharpe, and Rebecca G. Hafer; her stepdaughters, Rebecca, companion of Mike, and Felicia; her beloved grandchildren, Stella, Delilah, Clayton, Brianna, Hunter, Benny Jr., Ava, Alex, and Eden; her siblings, Ralph Moyer III, Daniel Moyer, and Lynnanne Moyer; and many extended family members, beloved nieces and nephews, and dear friends who will miss her beyond words.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Cathy's life on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508, in honor of Cathy's lifelong love of animals.

Though our hearts are broken by her loss, we find comfort in knowing that the love Cathy shared so freely will continue to live on in her family, her friends, and in every life she touched. She will be missed beyond words, deeply loved, and forever remembered.

Stephen Pauley, 70, of Reading passed away peacefully at Fairlane Gardens of Reading on July 25, 2026.

He was the loving husband of Leanne (Miller) Pauley.

Stephen is predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Vivian (Zeigler) Pauley.

Born in Reading, Stephen was a graduate of Exeter High School, where he was a star pitcher on the baseball team. He went on to work as a tow motor operator for many years. He will be missed dearly by everyone in his family and all those who knew him.

Kristen M. (Houck) Yeager, 42, of Pikeville, formerly of Exeter, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026. She was the wife of Dustin M. Yeager, with whom she celebrated 11 years of marriage. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Linda M. (Benner) Houck. Kristen graduated from Exeter High School, class of 2002. She attended Shippensburg University where she earned her degree in Criminal Justice and as a starting defender, she contributed to Shippensburg University Field Hockey team's first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championship. She graduated from Shippensburg University in 2007 with her Master's Degree in Administration of Justice, as well as Reading Police Academy. Kristen was a Police Officer for several Berks County Police Departments, lastly working with Central Berks PD. Her passion for life extended beyond her commitment to protect and serve. She enjoyed nothing more in this world than spending time with her children enjoying the outdoors, coaching and attending sporting events, pool parties, and side-by-side ride; a life well spent living with the ones she loved dearly. She was a member of Community U.C.C.

In addition to her husband, Kristen is survived by her three children; Tanner, Conner, and Carli Yeager. She is also survived by her brother Kevin Houck, husband of Brooke, her nephew Quinn, and her in-laws, Paula and Michael Yeager.

Family and friends are invited to attend an End of Watch Ceremony with Police Honors on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 beginning at 12:00 noon at Exeter Township Senior High School Stadium, 201 E 37th Street, Reading, PA 19606. Gates will open at 11:00 am, please give yourself plenty of time to park and get seated, as services will begin promptly at 12:00 noon. Warren A. Sheaffer, Jr., 79, of Exeter Township, passed away Saturday May 23, 2026 at 9:28 am at Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Charon L. Snyder. Born in Montreal, Canada, Mr. Sheaffer was the son of the late Warren A. Sheaffer, Sr. and Marjorie (Baty) Sheaffer. He was a 1965 graduate of Exeter High School and received a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Alvernia College and received his master’s degree in business administration from Saint Joseph University. Mr. Sheaffer was employed by Grosfillex in Robesonia as a computer technician and was an adjunct professor at Reading Are Community College in the Business and Grants departments. He was inducted into the Exeter High School Sports Hall of Fame, Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, was a member of the 1964 Exeter High School Cross Country Team who won the State Championship and he also attended all of the Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies at Exeter High School. In addition to his wife, Mr. Sheaffer is survived by his daughter Elizabeth A. Sheaffer of Reading, stepdaughter Lori J. Snyder of Exeter Township, his grandson Warren, sisters Eileen Ritz wife of Jesse Ritz of Birdsboro, Kathy Redding wife of the late Steven Redding of Green Lane, Montgomery County, and Dusty Levan wife of Bob Levan of Womelsdorf. He was preceded in death by his sister Margie. Also surviving are his 3 dogs Mama, Inez, and Nutmeg.

Heather J Olson DMD, age 50 passed away surrounded by family at her home in Egg Harbor Township, NJ on 5/11/2026.
Born in Reading, PA she graduated from Exeter High School, followed by LaSalle University before finishing her education at Temple University School of Dentistry. She was the owner operator of Bayside Family Dentistry of Cape May. Heather enjoyed reading and traveling, especially taking cruises. Although she had no children of her own she very much enjoyed being the best doggy mom that she could be.
She is survived by her husband Greg DeFelice, her brother John Olson and parents Harold and Susan Olson nee Yoder as well as her nephews Jack and Reed and niece Jules, and of course her furbaby W***y.
She is predeceased by her furbabies Snickers, Shorty, and Monty.
Heather was beloved by everyone that met her. Her smile was contagious and her dimples lit up the room. She will be very much missed by her family, friends, and patients alike.
