The history of the Theta Theta Chapter dates back to April 3, 1981 when Concetta Mary Oxenrider, as President, founded a local chapter, Delta Chi Upsilon. The colors of Delta Chi Upsilon were silver and burgundy, and the symbols were the rose, the owl, the garter, and wheat for Demeter, the goddess of fertility. Among these symbols and colors existed high ideals and purposes for which sisterhood s
tood, promoting growth on campus and in the community. They also enriched the lives of fellow students by developing a sincere atmosphere for a well-balanced education, and by establishing friendly relationships and a good rapport among sisterhood. They became Sigma Kappa at Albright on September 12, 1987.
