Reminder! Get your bicycle ready for the summer & and learn bike repair skills with this FREE workshop with Bicycle Coalition of Maine! Call/email/message the Readfield Community Library or the Dr. Shaw Memorial Library to register. Please register for the workshop site and time that works best for your schedule, regardless of the town you live in. This is a 2-hour outdoors hands-on workshop with instructors from Bicycle Coalition of Maine, open to teens and adults. Please bring your bike along! All tools and instruction will be provided.

We had an incredible time at the Readfield Winter Carnival this weekend! We were able to loan skis to many local families and teach over 15 people how to ski. Thank you to Readfield Rec and our awesome volunteers for making this possible! ❄️✨

We have recently had some changes in our board membership. As of December 8th, Frank Martinez Nocito is now our Board Chair! We are so excited and grateful that Frank has taken on this role!

Additionally, we would like to welcome two new board members, Angie Dagneault and Todd Hopkins! We are so excited to have them as board members and extend our deepest gratitude to them!

Finally, we would like to thank Kristin Aiello for her fearless leadership as our Board Chair for the past three years. She has played a huge role in the launching of many of our programs and we will miss her tremendously. Kristin, we truly would not be where we are today without you! Thank you!

We had a great morning at the Dr. Shaw Memorial Library in Mt. Vernon! We had 8 new Gear Library Card applications and lots of gear sign outs. Find us next Saturday at the Cary Memorial Library in Wayne, 9am-12pm! ❄️⛸️✨

We had an amazing day at the Readfield Community Library launching the Gear Library Yesterday! Find us next week the Dr. Shaw Library in Mt. Vernon. Huge thank you to our volunteers, Angie and Chad, for helping folks check out gear!

NEW! Community Gear Library with outdoor gear available to borrow; open to residents of Readfield, Mt. Vernon, Wayne, Fayette, & Manchester. A partnership of the Steve DeAngelis Community Fund and 4 local libraries, with support from a Sustainable Maine Libraries grant from the Natural Resources Council of Maine.
