📣 SHEBA IS BACK AT THE ANTIOCH CROSSING PETSMART! 🐾

💕 Meet Sheba — 2.5 years old, fully vetted, and FULL of personality!

Sheba has made her rounds at PetSmart and through multiple locations within our rescue, and along the way, we’ve learned just how adaptable this girl really is! She’s got a big personality, plenty to say, and so much love to give to the right family. ❤️

🐱 Other cats? She may not love every cat she meets, but she can absolutely cohabitate! She does well with kittens and even seems to enjoy having them around.

🐶 Dogs? Possibly! Sheba has shown us she could live with a dog as long as that pup understands she’s the boss and she has a safe space to retreat to when she needs a break. 😂

👧 Kids? She loves them! Kids who respect her boundaries are her favorite, but even younger, louder kiddos don’t seem to be a dealbreaker. Sheba is a wonderful teacher of consent. She’ll let newcomers know what she likes, what she doesn’t, and where her boundaries are.

📢 And did we mention she’s LOUD?! Happy, unhappy, excited, affectionate or hungry… Sheba has something to say about it all! This girl is a certified chatterbox, and you’re never going to have to wonder what’s on her mind.

Sheba has shown us time and time again that she’s capable of adapting to new situations. What she needs now is a family willing to give her the home, love and consistency she deserves. Beneath that big personality is an amazing girl who just wants a place to belong. 💗

🐾 Two More Sweet Souls Have Joined Us! 🐾

With our recent 5 Boroughs intake, we simply couldn’t resist opening our hearts a little wider and taking in two more adults from the gentleman in need that Operation Snip ‘Em is helping.❤️

Please give a warm welcome to Flushing — a handsome grey, long-haired gentleman. 🩶 He has a little healing to do after suffering from a severe flea infestation that left his skin pretty rough. He’s receiving the care and treatment he needs, and we’re already so happy to see him feeling more comfortable. 🥹

And then there’s Miss Soho. 🎀 Another absolutely beautiful tuxedo girl with the sweetest personality! She’s still young, estimated to be around 1–2 years old, and she’s already showing us what a wonderful little snuggle buddy she could be. She’s currently healing from her spay and taking some well-deserved time to recover.

Both Flushing and Soho are up to date on vaccines, FeLV/FIV negative, and, most importantly, on their way toward brighter days. 🐾💕

They may have had a difficult start, but their stories are far from over. Soon, both of these beautiful souls will be ready to find the loving Furever families they deserve. 🏡❤️

👑 Please help us welcome Prince Charles back into our care. 👑

Charles originally came to us after being trapped along with several other cats following the passing of his owner. We were hopeful that he had found his new beginning when he was adopted by his former owner’s daughter.

Unfortunately, things didn’t work out in his adoptive home, and Charles has found himself back with us. There are some possible behavioral and medical concerns that we want to better understand before we make any decisions about his future.

For now, Charles’ only job is to decompress and feel safe. ❤️ We’re going to have him thoroughly checked out by our veterinary team and spend some time getting to know him again so we can properly assess his needs and figure out what kind of environment will truly allow him to thrive.

Coming back to rescue isn’t a failure. Sometimes it simply means we need to take a step back, gather more information, and try again with a better understanding of what a cat needs.

Welcome back, Charles. We’ve got you. 🐾❤️

Meet Genny — A Little Fighter with a Big Heart! 💕

Sometimes the sweetest little souls have the toughest beginnings.

Genny’s story began when a kind employee at Main Event discovered her hiding behind a generator. This precious girl was starving, injured, and struggling just to walk. She could barely move and was dragging one of her little legs. 💔

Thankfully, Genny’s story didn’t end there!

With lots of love, TLC, X-rays, and medical attention, this sweet girl has made an incredible transformation!

Today, Genny is a happy, playful sweet girl who loves nothing more than playing and curling up for snuggles. And her purr motor? It starts almost the second you touch her! 🥰

She is currently recovering from her spay, UTD on her vaccines, Felv/FIV negative, and microchipped! She will be ready very soon to find her furever family!

🐾 Kitten Update! 🐾

Remember the little kittens who were left at a shopping center a couple of weeks ago? We’re so happy to share that these two sweet female tuxedos, Dylan and Dempsey, are doing wonderfully! 🖤🤍

They’re getting plenty of TLC in foster care, growing stronger every day, and their BIG personalities are already shining through! These girls love to play, pounce, and explore, and the second they see a human come near, the purrs start immediately. 🥹💕

Their favorite things? Snuggling up cozy together and, of course, begging for more snackies! 😋 They’ve definitely figured out how to work their foster humans.

And we’re happy to report that their sisters, Dawson and Darcy, are also doing great and getting lots of love and TLC with another wonderful foster family! ❤️ We’ll be sure to share an update on those two sweet girls soon, too.

From being left behind at a shopping center to being safe, loved, and thriving — these little tuxedo sisters are showing just how much a little TLC can change everything. 🐾💗

🐾 Another intake… and this one was from our waitlist! 🐾

Amidst all of the unexpected intakes this week, we were able to make room for a cat who had been waiting on our list. 💙

Meet Hampton! 🖤🤍

This handsome tuxedo boy is every bit as sweet and loving as he is adorable. Hampton is about 2yrs old and has already been neutered and is up-to-date on his vaccines, so he’s well on his way to finding his forever home.

He’ll spend a short time in quarantine while we make sure he’s healthy and settled in. If all goes well, Hampton should be ready for adoption sometime next week! 🎉

It’s been an unexpectedly busy week of intakes, but we’re so grateful that we were able to say “yes” to Hampton, too. Every kitty deserves a chance, and we’re excited to help this sweet boy find the loving home he’s been waiting for. 🐾❤️

These five little ones weren’t originally scheduled to come into rescue, but when our friends at Operation Snip ‘Em reached out, we knew we had to help. They do such incredible work supporting so many people and animals in our community, and when they needed a little extra assistance, we were happy to help. ❤️

So…please let us introduce you to The Borough Babies! 🗽🐱

🏙️ Brooklyn — Our beautiful tuxedo girl!

🏙️ Manhattan — A gorgeous gray-and-white dilute tuxedo girl.

🏙️ Harlem — Our handsome gray-and-white dilute tuxedo boy!

🏙️ Staten — Our sweet male tuxedo!
*They have all been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, F/T treated, dewormed, and Felv/FIV tested negative. They’ll be ready for their furever homes as soon as they are recovered from surgery!

🌶️ And then there’s Bronx… 🌶️

Our spicy, tiny little tuxedo girl with a BIG personality! Bronx is still working on the whole “humans are friends, not enemies” concept. 😂 We’re taking things slowly and showing her that people can be pretty wonderful. Thankfully, we’ve discovered that Churus are definitely the way to her heart. ❤️

These babies are settling in, learning that they are safe after their big life change, and getting ready for the next chapter of their lives. We can’t wait to watch their personalities blossom!

Meet Mojave & Sahara—a gorgeous duo who turn heads with their exotic spots and stripes! These handsome boys are 6 months old, fully vetted, and ready to find a home together. ❤️

🌵 Mojave is the bold and adventurous one! Brave, chatty, energetic and always ready to explore, Mojave makes sure everyone knows when he has something to say. He’s got places to go, things to investigate and a whole lot of personality to share!

🏜️ Sahara is the softer side of this dynamic duo. He’s sweet, gentle, affectionate and wonderfully tame. Sahara is happiest soaking up attention, enjoying some quality cuddle time and being close to his people. 🥰
