Hearts of Valentine, Inc.’s objective and purposes are to give back to the community by assisting, coaching and mentoring children with inmates as parents. We will provide an atmosphere where the ultimate goal is to teach them how to give back to the community by sponsoring toy drives at Christmas, feeding and clothing the homeless, cleaning our streets and neighborhoods, assisting the elderly wit
h groceries and yard work, reading to children, providing study groups to assist their peers in subjects they may have trouble in and more. We would also like to afford them the opportunity to be involved in sports and other extra-curricular activities, i.e. music lessons, swim lessons, driver’s education, summer camp, basketball and/or football camps or other activities that they otherwise would not have a chance to participate in due to the financial struggles of living life with an incarcerated parent. We would like to provide them with a sense of hope and encouragement so they know, just because life for their parent(s) went in a certain direction, they are more than capable of turning themselves in the opposite direction and living a fulfilled life. What happened to the parent does not have to happen to the child and Hearts of Valentine, Inc. is in place to make sure they realize this and help them to achieve better outcomes.
