We’re aware of some social media posts regarding a su***de that occurred yesterday. Because this did not occur within the Raytown city limits, we don’t have any information about this incident.

However, we want to pass along some su***de prevention resources to our community. April 9th - 15th is National Telecommunicator's week. It is a time to say thank you to the selfless men and women that work behind the scenes in public safety to ensure the safety of our staff as well as our citizens. For LSPD, we have a staff of 18, full time Communications Specialists who provide around the clock coverage in our Communications Unit. So this week; we take time out to honor their service and dedication to the LSPD and the citizens of this great city!
